Great day trip
What a wonderful day trip. We started by having a delicious authentic Costa Rican breakfast at a local restaurant . The hike through the rainforest near Arenal Volcano was beautiful. Lunch was tasty. Nes was a great guide. The day ended with a couple of relaxing hours at the hot springs.

Highlight of my trip!
I had the most fantastic time learning to surf for the first time with La Muda Surfing. My instructor Chino made it super fun, easy, and memorable!! He gives great guidance and helped me catch some great waves! I would highly recommend booking this lesson to anyone (of any experience level) who is interested. Easily a highlight of my trip to Tamarindo!!

Black stallion ranch zip line
This was great! We decided to drive ourselves and were navigated to a different company of zip lining called black stallion ranch but it worked out for the best because they had nine super fun lines of zip line. Would highly recommend going to the black stallion ranch zip lining. All of the staff was very accommodating and nice and didn’t have a single bad moment.

Low Key Taste of Costa Rica
This is a low key and fun excursion. We started with a long car ride into the rainforest where we sipped coffee and tasted some local chocolate. We then took a short stroll through a sanctuary where we got to see a sloth close up! We also got to see many other animals in the sanctuary and throughout the trip including monkeys, iguanas, snakes, butterflies and a frog. On the road to lunch we saw some Toucans thanks to our driver Dayro who made a special effort to find some for us. We ended the excursion with a dip in an easily accessible waterfall. Our guide was friendly and patient and did a good job of explaining some of the key sights and sounds of Costa Rica. This is a great excursion for those looking for a relaxed way to experience the country.

Costa Rica gold!
Magical day exploring quiet waterfalls, hot springs, getting a volcanic mud scrub, swimming in a lagoon under a waterfall, enjoying a delicious lunch and making a quick souvenir stop. Mario did a fantastic job of planning the day to be seamless and crowd-free while helping us enjoy each experience as fully as possible. Well worth the money and 5 stars for anyone looking to pack a lot of Costa Rica into 8 hours!

A great day, a great guy and a great boat driver
Juan was a wonderful tour guide!
The group size was fantastic, nine people.
Both Juan and the boat driver were superb at finding wildlife as we cruised the banks.
The lunch was delicious with very nicely prepared fish with local accompaniments. They were very accommodating for some strict dietary guidelines that one of our friends had. I myself have some physical limitations that they were careful and accommodating with concern about my welfare and my ability to enjoy the day.
We would certainly recommend this to anyone and would consider redoing this trip if we return.

Amazing Waterfalls, Wildlife, and an Unforgettable Sloth Sighting
We had a great tour! The driver was friendly and the van had nice, cool AC. We did a short nature walk to swim in a waterfall, stopped for breakfast and lunch, and hiked to another waterfall. The highlight of the trip was seeing sloths and toucans, including a mom sloth with her newborn baby on her chest. My advice is to bring a poncho or rain jacket since the weather changes quickly. Highly recommend this tour!

Great party atmosphere!!...
Great party atmosphere!! We had a wild time! This is a great tour to do if you just recently arrived in Tamarindo and are ready to party! The guide was fun and he always made sure that no one got left behind. The locations that you visit are all beautiful and different from one another. The bus ride home at the end was out of control - in a crazy good way! Bring a small cooler so you can drink on the bus. I wouldn’t recommend this tour for non-drinkers!

Unexpectedly delightful
This was an amazing hike with an amazing guide. He will go at whatever pace you want and for me, that's huge. It is so private even if you pass other groups. The waterfall is beautiful and so fun to get to. It is for people in moderately fit condition but nothing ridiculous. If you do the lunch, it was superb! An unexpected surprise! The tilapia and the breading on it was better than I've had anywhere in the world which shocked me. Did not expect it to be as wonderful as it was! Also, they're are tons of other tours to this but this is genuinely the closest starting point so you dont have to stay wait long! I felt bad for the other groups.

Exactly the excursion we were looking for in Tamarindo
Our excursion with Carlos was absolutely incredible. The tubing and cliff jumping/rope swinging into the lagoon was so much fun. The second trip which included a jungle hike (we saw howler monkeys, snakes, and iguanas) and swimming through a raging river in a cave to one of the most beautiful waterfalls we’ve ever seen was like nothing we’ve ever done before. Our local lunch was peaceful and delicious before the final hike and massive waterfall. We enjoyed free coconut water and story after story from our guide Carlos, who made sure we had as authentically local of a trip as possible. He also provided water, tea, beer, snacks, and stopped for bathrooms/quick shops whenever we asked. Carlos could not have been a more fun or knowledgeable guide - if you are considering booking this excursion, do it. There is zero chance you will regret it. Pura Vida!

Best tour guide in Guanacaste
Our tour guide Juan-Carlos was AMAZING!!! He was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about the local flora and fauna as well as the geography and history of Costa Rica, plus he spoke slow, clear, articulate English which was helpful for us as a few in our party are hard of hearing and struggle with accents.

Don’t hesitate, this is the one!
This was a wonderful excursion and a highlight of our trip to Tamarindo. Transportation was effortless and the owner took us right to the ATV location. The ATV ride was a combination of a typical ATV ride and a little sightseeing. We saw a few monkeys, but they say is not a guarantee for every trip. There is no photographer for that part of the trip. The ride over to the ziplining location was not bad. We asked to stop and eat and had a Casado at a little, casual, but kinda pricey, restaurant. It was just the two of us (me and my friend) the whole day. The ziplining was great. Monkeys everywhere! I am not super fit, but not sedentary, and I struggled just a bit with walking uphill and chose to skip 2 lines. So, maybe make sure you are ready for a kinda challenging little walk. There are 10 zip lines total, so 8 lines was fine for me. The photographer took amazing pictures for a very reasonable price. Remember to bring cash to tip your ATV guy, the Zipline folks who keep you safe, and driver. Doesn’t have to be a huge tip, but tipping well is how I contribute to the local economy. For the cost, it was an amazing day! I highly recommend it.
