Must do!
Our host Diego was very friendly and helped prepare us for everything we needed to bring and what to leave home. Our pickup was seamless and the breakfast option was fantastic (and vegetarian friendly)! We had fun conversation in the comfortable SUV and he handled our noisy kids in the third row like a champ!
Tolantango was a wonderful experience. The hot pools were sublime on their own, but I wasn't expecting such a magnificent canyon view beyond them! The cave/tunnel was our family's favorite part of the trip and it was the most unusual part. Traversing through warm water while cold water pours upon you is invigorating! Our older two kids are confident swimmers and had no issues, but we held close to our youngest. Be mindful of bringing too many little ones that aren't strong swimmers.
Lunch was great and so was swimming in the river. Although we didn't get much time there and that felt rushed. But it was kind of expected when we have so much distance to cover in one day.
Overall wonderful experience for our family we would recommend anyone to try! Note: we went on a weekday and especially the hot pools were fairly crowded (but not too bad). I've heard it can be much worse on the weekends.

We were delighted when we...
We were delighted when we learned that Sam would be leading this food tour. We met him a couple of years ago on another food outing and were impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. He makes the experience a lot of fun. Participants will have an opportunity to sample several traditional Mexican dishes and learn a bit of history at the same time.

Great tour!
Aldo was a. Amazing tour, he was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. It’s a lot of walking, but listening to the history of Guanajuato and some of the legends there made it so interesting that the waking didin’t feel bad at all. 109% recommend, thank you Aldo for a great tour!

Worth a visit!
Alex was a great guide! Very knowledgable and friendly. He picked us up at the designated location in a car, and then drove us to the site where we boarded a bus. The site is really beautiful. The walk to the site is a little steep in places, but the scenery makes the walk enjoyable. Look for the leaf-cutter ants!

Don't sleep on this tour!
Christian was a fantastic tour guide. The experience was beyond our expectations. We had such a wonderful time at Tolantongo hot springs. It was a beautiful day and the environment couldn't be more beautiful. Christian was kind and had a wealth of knowledge about the area and the history of Mexico. The van was comfortable and both meals were excellent. Highly recommend this tour and Christian as your tour guide.

Artists we never would have found on our own
Arturo drove us around in his personal vehicle (which was very nice) to three different artist studios in the San Miguel area. It would have been impossible for us to have found these on our own. Bea Aaronson was hoot! Think a female Salvador Dali. The visit to Ana Cornejo and Heinz Kunzli's home and studio was outside of town on a hillside out in the country. Amazing work. Arturo curates each tour to the small group's own artistic tastes so be prepared to be surprised.

We had an amazing day...
We had an amazing day with Fabricio. As a local he knew all of the ins and outs of Guanajuato and gave us a whirlwind overview! Highly recommend. He was so great as a resource for the rest of the trip that we used his services as a driver for the rest of the weekend as well.
