Top Raiatea Day Trips

If you only have a short time on land at Raiatea—such as if you’re traveling by cruise ship—make the most of half a day with a trip to the Tahaa Coral Garden. After a pickup from the cruise terminal, travel by boat to the lagoon, don your provided snorkeling equipment, and dive into the sea to admire the underwater aquatic life. The small-group environment means you receive personalized attention.

Explore beyond Raiatea with this action-packed day trip to Tahaa island. You’ll be picked up from Uturoa quay on Raiatea and taken over to Tahaa by boat. Explore the island's cultural and natural attractions with a visit to a pearl farm, snorkeling at a coral garden, and lunch on a white-sand beach. A great combination of relaxation and exploration.

Our excursion is distinguished by several aspects that are not immediately perceptible. Our visits to pearl and vanilla farms are carefully selected according to hospitality, language and product quality – so far nothing exceptional. But that's not all: The rum we serve on board is distilled in Taha'a by the “PARIPARI” estate, gold medalist at the Paris International Agricultural Show 2026. We provide towels on board. Our boats are managed by a crew of two on long-term contracts, unlike a crew of a pilot hired by the day. We offer swimming in two coral gardens and with sharks. We have lunch on a private motu with the property owner, an island that we have for ourselves, away from the crowds. We send free of charge by e-mail the link to the photo report of the day.

You don’t need to choose between sea- or land-based adventures during this full-day tour of Taha’a Island that includes both. Cruise on a comfortable outrigger canoe, equipped with lounge areas and trampolines. Stop to visit vanilla groves and a family-run pearl farm to learn more about the island’s unique way of life. Enjoy lunch on a private island and spend time snorkeling, swimming, and lounging on the sand.

On board Blue Lagoon, a modern and comfortable canoe, enjoy the trampoline over the lagoon for a day trip "Apetahi" around the island of Raiatea. This tour takes you off the beaten track, to the rhythm of navigation, to discover authentic landscapes between lagoon and ocean, with the possibility to observe dolphins according to the conditions. Stop at the Nao Nao Coral Garden for a snorkeling session in clear, unspoilt waters, then discover the Marae de Taputapuatea, a major UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day continues with a peaceful sailing in Faaroa Bay and, weather permitting, along the only navigable river in French Polynesia, surrounded by lush vegetation.
