This experience is fun and exciting. You will be visiting each stop by boat. The stops are exciting and very educational.

Our cruise ship changed ports on us and I was not able to reach either Viator or the vendor, so missed this tour completely.

This was the best excursion of the entire trip! Our pilot was a great host. Only six of us in the group so plenty of room and congenial company. The actual boat ride was great - spectacular scenery. We got rained on, splashed by the wake, and it was bumpy because of our high speed, and I loved every second. Learned a little at each stop. And the opportunity to shop for pearls and vanilla products. I will do it again if I m ever fortunate enough to return.

Captain and assistant were good. Group was half English speakers and have French. Captain only spoke in French, but has a passenger who spoke both and she translated for us.

The guides were super nice n the boat ride to the other island was fun. The vanilla place was ok but what really got me was they ripped you off for their products. I don’t mind helping out the locals but don’t rip off the tourists. Paid for a vanilla paste n the next day we r in Papeete n for the same exact product it’s half the price for both the extract n the paste. Would never recommend going there. The pearl place was interesting but only went because it was part of the tour. Would definitely try something else if u go.

A fun and scenic boat ride wrapped around an entertaining, learning experience on Tahaa. Everything you want to know about vanilla agriculture and processing. Also, amazing info and demonstrations about raising oysters that produce pearls.

We waited at the pick up location for thirty minutes and no one came to pick us up. Tried calling the contact number provided by aviator and the call failed. Just hope we can get a refund. Ruined what might otherwise have been a lovely day.

Thank you for your comment.Normally the departure for the excursion is at 1.30 pm.
Most passengers arrive around 1.00/1.15 pm and we leave at 1.30.
We installed the passengers on the boat and waited until 1.45 but you didn't come!!!!
I waited for you at desk 1 with a sign " Patricia Douglas "

Pearl farm and rum distillery were good, crew excellent and looked after frail guests, vanilla farm on west coast was rubbish, people who went to East Coast farm much better experience. Problem started with being bumped from 8.30 tour at pier, returned to ship after look at shops, returned to pier at 11 for 11:15 tour, delayed to 12:30. Crap weather did not help but as all venues are free if you can get there, the tour was really an overpriced water taxi.

Our guide was pretty much just the boat captain - he did not introduce himself and could not speak English. He took us to a vanilla farm and pearl farm by boat, and the highlight was seeing dolphins on the way back. A little disappointed that we could not learn more about the island of Taha’a.

We happened upon a group of dolphins and the driver of ythr boat stopped for several minutes. We were treated with many close up views.

Julian was an excellent boat/tour guide. Claudine at the vanilla plantation was welcoming, gracious, and explained the vanilla process. The pearl farm was informative. A beautiful day out in the waters around Tahaa. We even saw a pod of dolphins on way back… Julian diverted the boat for photos. Excellent!

The boat tour across the water was so refreshing and filled with lots of picture-taking moments.
I learned so much at the pearl farm on the cultivating process - it was fascinating - she (I can't remember her name) was highly knowledgeable.
I also learned all about vanilla making process - he (I can't remember his name) also thoroughly knew the process. Also, that vanilla smelled good!
Lastly, our boat operator (Julian?) was very attentive, patient and kept us on time.

I hate to leave a less than positive review, but I thought the tour was severely overpriced for what it was. We were asked to come to the marina at 7:45 to go pick up the other guests from their cruise ship. We got to the ship at 8:15 and were sitting around for 45 minutes until the rest of the guests boarded. That wouldn't have been so bad if there had been a 'thank you' for our early arrival or even a conversation about what was happening, but our guide didn't say much the entire tour. He seemed unhappy to be on the tour and wasn't able to communicate much with the guests who were all English speaking, even though the tour was advertised as being offered in English. The tour didn't feel like much of a tour at all, more like a water taxi that took us to the vanilla plantation and pearl farm where we got free tours where they wanted to sell us their merchandise (i.e. they were not the reason the tour was so expensive). At over 100$ per person for this water taxi experience, this was heavily overpriced and it felt like the price was so high just because they 'can' (not a lot of competition on the island). We were supposed to go snorkeling at the end but this was skipped without an explanation as to why. I felt ripped off and not treated nicely by the owner who basically 'ordered' us to the marina at a really early hour without recognizing how inconvenient that was for us and also wasn't a part of the tour (it was advertised as if we'd be picked up).

Thanks you for your comment; I am really sorry that your turn went badly. Normally we leave from Raiatea for excursions,exceptionally we had to go to Tahaa to pick up other passengers.
You booked your at the last minute and I send you a massage to let you know .
In general there is an English guide but Tema being sick could not come
For this tour it is very clear that there is no snorkeling.Once again sorry

Très dispendieux pour ce qui nous a été offert.
La visite de la ferme de perle était très intéressante mais celle de l'île vanille très décevante.
Très peu de commentaires du guide durant l'excursion.
Nous avons quand même eu droit à un arrêt pour côtoyer les dauphins
Une expérience décevante pour le prix.
