A MUST DO!!!
MUST DO IN ZAKYNTHOS! It was an incredible day and Spiros was a great guide. Seeing Shipwreck Beach and then seeing the Blue Caves were INCREDIBLE. The minibus was clean and comfortable and the speedboat was spacious for our group of 14. Would highly recommend! Two small complaints - poor instructions on pick up location to start the tour and would recommend having lunch earlier instead at the end of the tour.

Great service
We just booked tge 1 hour trip Blue Caves trip, but arriving Theodosis offered us the 2,5 hour trip including Shipwreck because the boat was not full. No extra charges! It was great, so glad we did this. Great experience

A must on your tour list
Had a fabulous time on this tour. Dimitri our guide was knowledgeable but most importantly he never rushed us, and allowed us to enjoy the experience at each stop. Our boat captain had a great personality and added to our experience. The Blue caves were spectacular and swimming in one was truly memorable. Shipwreck beach was breathtaking and the colour of the water is beautiful. Thank you Dimitri for such a great experience. I highly recommend this tour.

Great trip to this beautiful spot led by our friendly guide
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Blue Caves with Kostas as our friendly guide. Go prepared for a swim with goggles too, to fully enjoy the blue cave, where you'll see a wonderful glassy blue effect in the water. A great trip - thank you Kostas!

From Vista Overlook to Sea Cave Exploring!
Amazing, well-planned day of activities. Highlight was the overlook of shipwreck beach. Spiros was an amazing tour guide! His offer of capturing the scene via drone footage saved the experience as a lifetime memory! Definitely worth the EUR10 for that! 2-hour midday boat cruise of shipwreck beach and nearby blue caves was fantastic, followed by a delicious lunch. Arrived back at the resort late afternoon following a truly special and totally satisfying day! Highly recommended!

A must do when you come to Zakynthos
We had a very enjoyable trip with helpful and informative guide, Sakis. We enjoyed the 2 hour boat ride and the swimming points. The guides and captains even made sure to find clean swimming spots when the second one was dirty, which is very kind. We also enjoyed the history behind the different sites shared with us. A nice lunch spot
For what we paid for, the tour was amazing and a must do when you go to Zakynthos.
I would love to have more Greek history and culture shared.

Thrilling
Dali team is the best. Professional, knowledgeable and take all precautions. They know all the island. They are concerned for your safety. Parents, leave the kiddos at home. Their are challenges on this tour. Very happy we took the tour rather than doing it ourselves.

Ways to explore
When to visit

The Blue Caves can only be accessed by sea, either on a day cruise or via one of the tourist boats that depart from a nearby beach.
Bring your camera to capture the colorful caves.
Passengers must be agile enough to board and disembark on boat tours, so travelers with limited mobility should confirm accessibility in advance.
Be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the Mediterranean sun.
Most boat tours that include a stop for swimming provide snorkeling gear, but bring your own swimsuit and towel.
People Also Ask
Can you go to the Blue Caves without a tour?
Yes, you can visit the Blue Caves without a tour—but you’ll need your own boat to get there. That’s why most visitors choose to explore the Blue Caves with guides who know the coast well. Most guided tours of the Blue Caves also include additional stops, such as Shipwreck Beach.
How do I get to the Blue Caves in Zakynthos?
You have two main options for reaching the Blue Caves in Zakynthos, a day cruise featuring multiple coastal stops or a shorter trip from a nearby harbor. Shorter boat trips generally depart from Agios Nikolaos Harbour (St. Nikolaus Harbour), and can make the return trip—including a swim stop—in an hour.
Can you swim in the Blue Caves?
Yes, you can swim in the Blue Caves—but only in the smaller, quieter areas. Swimming is not allowed at the main entrance to the Blue Caves, as busy boat traffic around the mouth of the caves can create unsafe conditions. Many tours of the Blue Caves make swimming stops nearby.
How long does it take to tour the Blue Caves?
You can take an hour-long tour of the Blue Caves: Since round-trip boat journeys from Agios Nikolaos Harbour take 40 minutes, these tours generally budget for 20 minutes at the caves themselves. Many day cruises to the Blue Caves last all day, with time for stops at beaches and viewpoints.
What is the best time of day to visit the Blue Caves?
Midday light makes the most of brilliantly colored water at the Blue Caves, so many recommend coming around noon. That’s a busy time at the caves, however—and the morning light is also gorgeous. If you prefer fewer crowds, opt for a boat trip that leaves first thing in the morning.
What is the best time of year to visit the Blue Caves?
July and August are busy months in Zakynthos, when the Blue Caves, beaches, and harbor towns can be crowded. For beachy weather and fewer crowds, consider visiting in the shoulder-season periods of June and September; you’ll find lower prices, fewer tourists, and water that is still warm enough for swimming.
