What are people saying about Puerto Vallarta

Alejandro is the GOAT
Alejandro was a great guide. I really liked that he knew his way around the towns and the area. He knew more than just San Pancho and Sayulita. He knew the area and other parts of Mexico. I got really good travel tips and advice. I saw beautiful murals and I learned so much about the Wixárika natives and traditional customs. Mary's is THE PLACE for lunch in Sayulita and Mexicolate is amazing chocolate for the end of the tour. I can't recommend this enough! Thank you Alejandro!

A great choice!
This was truly a unique and rewarding experience. The hike was challenging with some small spaces and climbs. The beaches were beautiful and mostly quiet. I would recommend sandals with strap or sneakers. Our guide Isai was very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun!

This is a magical...
This is a magical experience that should not be missed. You need to put on a snorkel and get in the water. You won’t regret it. Everything around us sparkled. The guide and the captain did a great job making sure our experience was wonderful. Loved it!!!

Snorkel trip
“Great excursion overall. The snorkeling at Los Arcos was beautiful clear water, cool rock formations, and plenty of fish to see. The cliff jumping was a fun bonus. The hidden beach was a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the trip, but the experience as a whole was definitely worth it. Would recommend for anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.”

Great family adventure!
Top notch experience, Vallarta Adventures is one of the best tour companies in PV. It can be cold on the boat out in the morning, take a hoodies or jacket if you’re in the spring or fall. You can keep your stuff in the boat the whole day without worrying about it, so packing heavy is not an issue. They serve coffee, mixed drinks, fruit and pastries. First stop was snorkeling, water wasn’t super clear when we went but we did get to see a lot of fish. Sometimes there are little stinging beads in the water the locals call “rosario,” like rosary beads that sting, usually it’s not a problem but it was in our day, we didn’t stay in the water long. Second stop was Yelapa, you need to choose either lounging on the beach or going into town and seeing the waterfall, you’re there for 1.5 hours so there’s not a chance to do both. If you go in the spring, it’s the dry season and there will be very little water in the waterfall. We chose beach, hustled to the front of the line and got chairs on the Fri t row. Chairs are complimentary. You have access to a restaurant and bathroom, order early because the time goes quick. The water was much colder out there than in town or just south of town. The beach and view are great, well worth it. Last stop was at Majahuitas Beach, there’s lots of covered seating and you are served a BBQ Buffett. Food was okay, rips were better than chicken. After lunch you have the option to kayak or SUP. We stayed there’s for about 1.5 hours as well. Plenty of beach seating with shade. On the way back, the crew puts in a really fun show, won’t spoil it! Bring cash to tip at the end, recommend $20 US equivalent per person in party.

Food/Bike tour is a great 1/2 day trip.
This was a perfect 1/2 day trip, we did it in around 3 hours. Learned a lot about the different sections of the city. The ride is about 5-6 miles in total with 4 food stops, 2 desert stops and a custom cocktail at the end of the tour.
Our guide was great and friendly. Would recommend to everyone.

Best whale watch ever!
My mother (in her 70s) and I (in my 40s) went on the best whale watch of our lives. And we have done many. Pilar and captain were so kind, informative, and fun. Very safe vessel, but at about 28 feet, we were so close to the whales and the water (always keeping the whales safe though). Breaching whales everywhere! And a delicious homemade lunch. Thank you for the highlight of our time in Puerto Vallarta!!

Beyond expectations
We knew this would be a great experience based on the stellar reviews Manu has received for this class. Here are just a few extra tidbits. The market was spotless, the fish and produce fresh and plentiful, and our chef and the vendors like family. Manu’s culinary skills are world class. Ingredients simple with some unique herbs and spices added, preparation creative and masterful, and conversation open and friendly. The time flew by. It is no wonder that many of this chef’s students are repeat customers!

Don’t miss the lunch at Rancho Verano Disteria!
Our group of five visited the Rancho Verano as part of a Tour with the Botanical Gardens on January 23, 2025.. The Lunch was a highlight of our vacation in PV. We shared the kabobs, the shrimp and chicken were great but the beef was WONDERFUL! Not often 5 foodies agree - and this was a win all around. Highly recommend the lunch! The Tequila tasting was fun and generous, we purchased bottles to take home as souvenirs. The do not distribute to the US so we were really excited to find such high quality during a tour!! The Botanical Gardens are lunch and full of trails, plants and birds. The gift store is nice and the lunch (in a past trip) is very good. On this tour we choose to eat at the Rancho Verano Disteria.

There is some walking...
There is some walking involved in the tour. It was a fun and educational tour. Daniel knows Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas very well. The tequila factory was very fun and interesting. There was a lot of tasting going on. Our driver, Sergio, was excellent.

This was a fantastic...
This was a fantastic excursion!! Our driver and guide were great and super friendly, the jewelry store is a scam in the sense you only stop there to have a whole bunch of employees pushing you to buy silver, the margarita made it tolerable though lol. The butterfly part was amazing! We learned so much about butterflies. I would go there again in a heartbeat! The tequila tasting part was pretty great too!

Excellent day trip from Puerto Vallarta
This was a perfect day to spend away from the beach and resort. We learned a lot about the history of San Sebastián and how it relates to PV of today. Juan Carlos was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Stops were well timed breaking up the drive perfectly. It was a slow paced and relaxing day, which was perfect for us. Lunch was delicious!
