Outstanding Tour of Châteauneuf de Pape
First - Gordana is an amazing tour guide. She’s very friendly and lively, and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable on the tour.
The sites she picked were outstanding and chosen with care and deliberation so we would have a unique and special experience. Everywhere we went, we were the only people there. No large tour groups!
The first stop allowed us to see where many producers ferment and age their wines. Got to taste a variety of different specialties of the region.
The second stop was the real winner of the tour and the reason to do this tour. You will be in a 12th century cave tasting several wines hand-picked by a local Master Sommalier, Guy, who knows wine with a level of detail and passion that would be hard to find elsewhere. His selections and the tasting were just an amazing experience that I will remember for a long time. If you have the means, he can ship a case anywhere in the world. The cost is not cheap, but considering you are shipping bottles home that you cannot buy at home, the value is priceless.
Finally, we made a couple stops in some fields to see where/how the grapes are actually grown. We learned so much about “terroir” and the rules governing local growing in the region. I loved all of these technical details. Wine making is really a dance of science and art. Add in the history of the region, the rule-making bodies keeping a level playing field, and the debate of tradition vs using newer methods and technologies, and there was so much interesting stuff to be learned all in one day.
While I would do this tour in a heartbeat, I would encourage those attending to bring some snacks and a bottle of water. We were hungry and thirsty (for water) at the end.

Sunny with a side of wine
We were so fortunate to have Roman as our guide. He is a certified sommelier and resident of Chateauneuf de Pape. He was passionate, engaging,& incredibly knowledgeable. The wineries we visited knew him well and truly respected him and his wealth of information. It was a beautiful day with both the weather and our guide. We would highly recommend this tour with Roman.

Highly recommend this tour
Our driver/guide, Ann, is very knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were a great assortment of large(ish), medium and boutique winery. The staff/owners at the wineries were welcoming and personable. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Ann for a lovely day.

Great wines, beautiful scenery, charming and knowledgeable guide!
Our guide, Sylvia, was super knowledgeable about not only wines and wine production, but also tons of cultural information about Provence and Chateauneuf-du-Pape. We had a fantastic autumn day - the weather certainly plays a big role in your experience.

Breezing along Provence’s GSM(Grenache,Syrah,Mourvèdre) vineyards
Our driver and guide Arnoux, is a very knowledgeable wine guy who truly loves showing the sun-drenched vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape, Beaumes de Venise
and Gigondas.
He’s a very easy, amiable and a real people person, who travels the World whenever he gets the chance. His tour, I truly enjoyed and I would highly recommend..

Amazing experience with a knowledgeable guide!
We had a fantastic day with Thierry! He was incredibly knowledgeable and took us to three amazing vineyards, each with its own character and excellent wines. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting — the perfect break between tastings. I learned more about wine on this tour than I had on any previous ones. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, but the wines were so good that we couldn’t resist sending some home. The tour was an incredible value — honestly, we would have happily paid double for the experience!

On my bucket list!
Riding in a sidecar was on my bucket list! This was an absolute blast and Eric & George were very informative, professional and safe. We would have gone on another tour with them if we’d had time as it was such an enjoyable way to see the countryside! The winery was a nice stop!

Superior wine tour.
The best wine tour we have done, and we’ve done a few. This was by far the most interesting with the best wine (plenty of Provence rosé). Lots of good information from our guide, Raphael and a lovely group of people on our tour. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant way to explore wider Provence, all in one day.
We chose to take the all-day experience and had a fabulous time. The van is air-conditioned and comfortable and we found the entire experience an easy way to cover a lot of ground in one day. We spent the morning visiting Provencal wineries with some wonderful wine-tastings. And the afternoon visiting the villages of the Luberon. Our tour guide Marian was delightful and fun to travel with, and also incredibly informative. As a winemaker herself, she had incredible knowledge to share giving us so much insight into the making of wine and tips for cellaring and serving.
We travelled as a party of three and agreed that this was a fantastic way to experience the region around Provence in a short time. It gave us the confidence to then go off and explore more in our own car, which we did, travelling to Cassis the next day. Thank you Marian for a fantastic day - we met a wonderful group of people from all over the world on our tour - an added bonus.

Great experience to learn...
Great experience to learn all about the local food and sustainability in Provence. This is a group class, but still very hands on. Very fun to walk around to the various stalls, learn about local products, and get to enjoy a wonderful meal with wine at the end. Highly recommend.

Great half day tour from Avignon
This was a wonderful afternoon. Our guide was delightful, helpful and knowledgeable. The transport was of a high standard and I enjoyed each of the stops. The Pont du Gard was a highlight and I felt we had sufficient time at each location on the tour. The Orange amphitheater and wine tasting formed the other part of the tour and I really enjoyed each place. The guide pointed out other sites as we travelled to each location. A really enjoyable tour and worth the money.

Perfect Shore Excursion
This was the perfect way to spend a day while on a cruise. Jean Gabriel was welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny! We had a wonderful time from the time we got into the van, at all the stops, and were sad to end the excursion! This small group feels like something you'd never get if you booked this through a cruise line. It was amazing. Thank you Jean Gabriel!
