I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the monument. However, the long, winding spiral staircase could be a challenge for some visitors.

Get your glutes and hamstrings ready!
The stairs are definitely for able-bodied people only- probably the equivalent of 10 flights - on a narrowish circular staircase… but the views from the top deck are fantastic and worth it! Booking a slot is definitely the way to go, and be sure to leave enough time to cross under the traffic from the top of Champs Élysées. It is a great activity w kids - I had a teen and a tween who loved it!

Easy booking and access to tickets
You gain access to arc De Triomphe at top of Champs Elysees access the underground passageway takes minutes only follow signs …bypass the ticketing lines and show person at “gate” your pass which displays time. We covered it all in about an hour…views were amazing and tomb of Unknown soldier was a nice memorial.

Amazing time at the Arc de triomphe
A beautiful experience! Be prepared for climbing many steps, but it's totally worth it! Best views of all of Paris!

A Fun Way to see Paris
The buses came on a regular basis. The map and earphones were helpful. It was great to ride around the entire circuit to acclimate to the area. Then we got off near Notre-Dame after a total circuit. We got back on and rode to the Arc de Triomphe. I have been to Paris before, but never went to the top of the Arc. It was great. We took the Seine river cruise on a day when the weather was better. A good value, even if you've been to Paris before.

Best photographer in paris!
Best photographer ever!!! I was proposing for my girlfriend of 7 years and I’m not photogenic but he did an amazing job at getting the best picture with arc de triomphe! 10/10 would recommend him for any photoshoot!

Last Night in Paris
Going to the top of Arc de Triomphe was a highlight for our last evening in Paris. Seeing all of Paris starting to light up as the sun went down was magical. The vantage point gave us a view of the Eiffel Tower giving a complete Paris skyline.

First adventure in Paris
Learned a lot on this tour and it was our start tour since arriving in Paris. Was also great in helping us get acquainted with Paris.

A tour staple...
We always appreciate the Hop-on-Hop-Off Buses and tend to use this mode of tour in every city we visit. You get a brief history and the lay of the land, covering more territory than you could on foot. Having the ability to get on and off is a plus. Would highly recommend.

When to visit

Use the pedestrian underpasses beneath Place Charles de Gaulle to reach the arch. Do not attempt to cross the roundabout—Paris’ busiest traffic circle—on foot.
The viewing terrace is not wheelchair-accessible. An elevator goes part way up the arch, but visitors must still climb 46 steps to access the top.
Arc de Triomphe tickets are for timed entry.
Book skip-the-line tickets in advance to beat the crowds.
Be sure to bring a camera to capture the Parisian skyline.
