What are people saying about Olympia

This was our favourite...
This was our favourite tour! Nikos was an excellent guide helping us get the most out of our tour of Olympia. The visit to the Drouva Winery was a trip highlight. This is a small family run boutique winery with two plates of delicious Greek bites prepared by the mother. We had a table by ourselves and loved every minute of this experience. Highly recommend to everyone!

What a Great Day!
This is the best excursion and one that we enjoyed so much. Effie was our Tour Guide who was very knowledgeable and loved sharing information about her region and Alexis our driver was great. We had an amazing tour guide, Maria, at the Olympic Site ruins. She shares so much great information. I heard one woman pass by me saying about her unrelated tour that “this was underwhelming “ and I really wanted to tell her she had the wrong tour guide! Maria brought the original Olympics to life for us! She was awesome, I could have spent a week with her. She was so knowledgeable and made a pile of rocks come to life! Then off to the beekeepers home…Klio and her mother, Theodore were so lovely and kind and made us feel so welcome in their home. In Klio’s beautiful gardens we were treated to Quince spoon treats, a delicious juice and Greek coffee as she shared her beekeeping trade. We were able to sample some honey on a traditional baked good while her mother shared the natural healing effects of honey in their products. Afterwards we visited Elena at Padelina’s where we learned about and sampled olive oils, balsamic vinegars SO Yummy! Thank You so much for picking these guides for us!!!!!

We had a great private...
We had a great private tour with Nikolas - he was so informative and flexible for the tour to be what we wanted it to be! He showed us around the port and then told us all about Olympia on our way to the Olympic site. After that, he took us to an olive oil mill per our request which was a real highlight! We got to se how they take such great care and pride in the olive oil in Greece and specifically Olympia. We bought a ton of olive oil - the family that runs it is amazing! Would highly recommend!!

A Magical and Educational Journey Through the Birthplace of the Olympics
This tour was both amazing and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed Theadora; she was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. It was magical to experience the birth of the Olympics and learn interesting information about the start of the Olympics and how various gods and history influenced this amazing event. After reviewing teh ruins we then visited the musuem which was well done and contained relics of the time period. I left this tour with so much more knowledge about thsi incredible time period and event and am so glad I particpated in this tour. I particpated in teh tour mid August so it was very warm but regardless sof teh heat, I am happy to have been a part of thsi event. I strongly reccomend that if you take this excursion in teh summer, bring a water bottle and an umbrella to help brave the hear. Also, there are water fountains at the entrance of the Olympic Park, so fill up before you begin this adventure. Also, Theodora is not only very knowledgeable; she is also very kind. My husband also left his water bottle on the bus, and she drove back to the ship dock to return it to him. This was truly a great tour and educational excursion.

Great way to see Olympia
We enjoyed this tour. Theodora was knowledgeable and patient, as it was crowded and hot the day we went. The directions from the port are a bit confusing, so just know you must leave the cruise ship docking area and meet the bus outside the terminal/port exit. Theodora called us to ensure we knew where to meet her.

An Unforgettable Highlight of Our Trip to Greece!
If you are visiting Olympia, booking with Stathis is an absolute must. From start to finish, his local expertise, warmth, and genuine hospitality made this one of the absolute best stops of our entire Greek vacation.
Stathis timed our day flawlessly. Thanks to his intimate knowledge of the area, we were able to see all the major sights right at the best moments, completely bypassing the massive tourist crowds. Beyond being an exceptional guide, he is an amazingly kind and thoughtful host. He made sure our whole group had a great time and paid extra-special attention to our 8-year-old son, even bringing him homemade cookies that he absolutely loved!
To top off his incredible generosity, Stathis gifted us a bottle of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, claiming it was the best in Greece—and after trying it back home, we can confirm he wasn't wrong!
We ended our tour at an authentic Greek restaurant right on the water that Stathis recommended. Getting to take a quick swim in the sea before sitting down to an incredible meal was the perfect finale to a wonderful day. Stathis's personality, deep expertise, and over-the-top kindness made this experience unforgettable. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

Great tour
I spent the day touring Olympia with Theodora. It was a great trip and super convenient. The bus picked us up right at the port and was very easy to find. We spent the day touring and sightseeing. Theodora is very knowledgeable on archeology as well as the local area. She was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed our day spent there. It was exactly what I hoped for.

Wonderful Olympia, Winery and Beach Day!
Our driver Andreas was very communicative on how to find him after we got off the ship. From there, he took us on a fabulous tour which included Olympia, a GEORGOUS winery and a quick stop at a beach for a drink and a short dip. It was a really perfect day which exceeded our expectations. Don't be talked out of the winery, it was so lovely up there to see the family business!

Fantastic tour!
Christos was amazing. He had so much history to share and knew where to go to make the most of our time. He was kind, open to anything we wanted to see or change, and filled with suggestions that made for a fantastic day for us and our adult children.
Besides the Olympic ruins, our favorite thing was Klio’s honey farm. Klio taught us about her family business and so much about bee keeping/honey making.
This tour added a great local feel to Olympia. We highly recommend Christos to all!

Excellent Tour
Excellent tour! Meeting point came with very clear directions. Small group transportation was clean and comfortable with safe driving.
Despina provided great information on the way to Olympia. She was especially good with our kids, even though the trip was for all ages. Maria did a great job leading us through the Olympic site. The small group was a big benefit over the large tour groups at the site. The beach visit after came with reserved seating at no additional cost and was a great way to relax after visiting the ruins. Overall a great tour and excellent value especially compared to the cruise ship excursions.

Stress Free in Olympia
Dora was our guide. She was AMAZING! Pick up was easy and quick. The van was clean and air conditioned. I was really impressed. Dora gave us various information about the area as well as the Olympic history. Being from the area, she shared local traditions and best spots for eating and shopping. She guided around the ancient site before we got there with stories of the history and what to expect. When we actually arrived, we felt like we knew the area and it made it our experience more enjoyable. Dora guided us through out the day. She could tell I was overwhelmed with the new environment/ city and she eased my mind by taking time to explain everything from where to go and where to meet. Dora was always there to help out. When we went to the beach, she had our umbrella and lounge chairs ready for us. The beach was beautiful. Don’t forget your goggles. I highly recommend this tour. I wish I could do it again.

A must if going to ruins.
I would say this is a must if you are going to the ruins. There is not a lot left of the ruins, so this really gave you an idea of what things looked like. There are stations that give you information, but the audio the glasses give you, I think is better.
