Nancy was a gem. Everyone of the 14 of us enjoyed the whole trip. We are so glad that we didn't skip the honey farm. Klios was so informative and personable. Well done!!!

The tour was an excellent balance of history sites and engaging activity. Our tour guide Tina was excellent; knowledgeable, funny, and kind. She was very flexible to our requests and made the whole day stress free. George was the driver and our van (specifically the AC) was great and safe. We highly recommend this tour and specifically our guide.

We had a very enjoyable half-day tour of Olympia. Our driver/guide was friendly, funny, and very personable, which made the experience relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. He was knowledgeable about the history and area, shared interesting information throughout the tour, and was always happy to answer questions.
What we appreciated most was how down-to-earth and approachable he was. He kept things engaging without overwhelming us with too much information and did a great job making everyone feel comfortable.
Olympia is an important historical site and well worth visiting, and having a guide with a good sense of humor and a genuine passion for what he does made the experience even better. We’re glad we chose this tour and would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and informative introduction to Olympia.

Stathis is so much fun. He is very knowledgeable and gives you options along your tour. He personalizes based on the group. He guided us to an amazing restaurant on the beach. Highly suggest booking with him.

Excellent driver and visit - was very accommodating and flexible. Learned about the region during the drive to and from Olympia. The honey farm was beautiful and such a sweet generational family. Definitely meets the big tours - download the audio guide for Olympia in advance - then no guide needed in there.

Had a wonderful time with Tina and George. A member of our party had some mobility issues and both George and Tina did a wonderful job navigating the sites so we didn’t have to push the wheelchair further than we needed. Tina did a wonderful adjusting to our groups needs. George did a wonderful job getting us where we needed to be. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful tour guide who had great knowledge about the history of the sites and took us to great places that we never knew about.

The private tour was the best choice, Tina made sure we saw everything we wanted to and that the day ran very smoothly. We skipped lines, tasted the local specialties and experienced the best of Olympia. Tina and Costa made us feel very welcome!

We had a delightful private tour with George in his personal vehicle. He took us to the usual museum sites of Olympia and saw the ruins where the first Olympian’s competed. We also especially enjoyed the visit to the honey farm and he added in a visit to ann olive oil pressing facility for that region. It was quite interesting and very helpful for understanding the economy in that region and how olive oil is created. George was enthusiastic and really wanted us to have a great experience!

Advertised as a driver/guide. Though it said the guide couldn't go into Olympia archeology center with us, we thought it was because they weren't allowed only to find out he wasn't licensed as a guide and that's why he couldn't go in. He was just a taxi driver. He Didn't tell us anything about any history at all and just asked us a lot of personal questions about ourselves. I don't recommend this tour at all.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear part of the experience didn’t meet your expectations.
As clearly outlined in our tour description and from the message sent, this is a driver-guide experience — our guide shares basic historical information about olympia during the journey along with all other information for the area, people and culture but, by law, only licensed guides can provide tours inside the archaeological site. The comment that the guide didn't share anything is inaccurate, our guide Stathis has a good feedback record of successful tours delivered.
Our driver engaged in friendly conversation to create a pleasant atmosphere and, as a courtesy, responded to personal questions from the group but also made questions during the flow of the conversation. We also added an extra stop at a local olive press, which guests shared they loved, and the feedback of this initiative was good.

I hate to leave this review, but as someone who reads reviews before I buy or book anything, I felt it is my duty.
First of all there are 9 of us in our group. Youngest is 9, oldest is 77 and a range in between.
Pro:
1. Great What's app communication prior to and up to the meeting time.
2. The guide (Andreas) and driver (Hercules) met us with my name as stated.
3. They were on time, the van was clean and maintained.
4. They brought several umbrellas for us, because it was a rainy day.
5. Andreas is a very nice man.
6. I liked the honey farm, but you have to pay 5 euros per person and I swear it said no charge before.
CONS:
1. Andreas did not introduce himself to us, I had to ask him his name.
2. We were hot and I had to prompt them to turn the AC on several times.
3. Andreas told us about himself, he owns an olive farm, his kids etc. But not much else. The ride was in silence for a great portion.
4. At Olympia, I didn't get any book as stated in the description.
5. Andreas didn't tell us anything about it either, as stated in the description. Going to the archaelogical site is not much fun not knowing what you're looking at and the site itself doesn't have much to read to tell you about what you're looking at.
6. They didn't offer us any waters.
7. They took us to an olive oil processor which was not on the itinerary, but we liked that.
8. They did not take us to the beach as stated in the description, but we were fine with that, we just wanted to get out of the van because of the awkward silence.
I would not recommend this tour due to the CONS. I have had great guides before so I know what one looks like. I read the reviews and some people had Andreas or someone with the same name, and that Andreas seemed spectacular. Maybe we had a different one.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that parts of the experience did not meet your expectations, although we’re glad to know you appreciated our communication, punctuality, vehicle quality, and the efforts of our team despite the rainy weather.
We would like to address a few of your points for clarity. On the day of your tour, the weather was quite cold and rainy, so the air conditioning was understandably not switched on by default. Our team was happy to adjust it immediately upon your request. We always try to maintain comfort according to the day’s conditions and guest preferences.
Regarding the commentary and information during the tour, our guide provided explanations at each location and is always available to answer questions. We do, however, recognize that every guest has different expectations for the level of commentary, and we’ll take your input into account to ensure even more engaging communication in the future from Andreas. Related to water it was mentioned to the customers that water bottles available so everyone in their own will would be able to get whenever needed.
As for the honey farm, the entrance fee is stated in the booking form that the cost is extra and also in the communication mail that we have shared so the information you provide in this review is inaccurate.Similarly, the olive oil visit was an additional stop offered after the agreement with you to enhance your experience during the rainy weather as it was something you could see without getting wet and with free entrance! Anyhow we’re pleased you enjoyed it even if it was listed as disadvantage. The beach was skipped due to weather conditions.

"Our day with Stathis was simply perfect! He was knowledgeable, professional, and made every stop special - from Olympia to the honey bee farm and olive press company, ending with a delicious lunch by the sea at Agios Andreas Beach. We couldn't have asked for a better or more attentive guide who deserves many more stars than five!!!!!!!

Stasis was an excellent driver and guide for our group of four. He not only took us to Olympia ( with hints to make it a better experience), but also to some places only locals would know about, like Klios Honey farm ( a small family run business). He shared a lot of information about the Greek people and their lifestyles, especially the local people. This was an amazing tour and I highly recommend it.
linda_h, Sep 2025
Tina and our driver were very professional, friendly, informative and knowledgeable about the area. Our family really enjoyed our tour.
Shari_W, Sep 2025
A great excursion. Nancy was so nice and informative. She shared much information about Katakalon and the surrounding areas. Olympia was very interesting and great to see where the Olympics began and continue to begin. Klios Honey Farm was great! We loved hearing about the family business and master beekeeping. Nancy then brought us to beachfront family run restaurant for a traditional Greek meal. She gave us the option of this or a hotel “higher end” restaurant but we chose traditional family run. Highly recommend.
Laura_N, Aug 2025
Loved that we could tailor the amount of time based on our preferences, however, you really need a tour guide for the archeological site. It was simply too hard to figure what things were from the book we were given for a self guided tour.
Juli_J, Aug 2025
Our guide was excellent! We chose this over the more expensive shore excursions available from our cruise. It worked out really well. We loved chatting with our driver, Stathis. He was so nice, shared interesting information, and knew exactly what would be fun for us. He watched the time and made sure he brought us back in time to shop a little before embarking upon the boat again.

We had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Tina during our visit to Olympia, and we cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From the very beginning, Tina was exceptionally kind, helpful, and professional, making us feel welcome and well taken care of.
Her depth of knowledge was truly impressive — not only did she provide detailed insight into the ancient ruins and the history of Olympia, but she also enriched our tour with fascinating facts about Greek culture, mythology, and modern life in Greece. Her explanations were clear, engaging, and perfectly paced, making the experience both educational and thoroughly enjoyable.
Tina’s passion for her country and her profession was evident throughout the tour. She was patient in answering all our questions and tailored the experience to suit our interests, which made the day feel personal and special.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Olympia. With Tina as your guide, you’re guaranteed an experience that is informative, memorable, and genuinely enriching.
Thank you, Tina, for a wonderful day we won’t forget!

Charis was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the honey farm and all the activities. Highly recommend Charis!

First of all, I'm serious about requesting the driver (Costas) and tour guide (Tina) by name. They were waiting right where they said they'd be with our name on a large sign. Tina had communicated with us ahead of time to make sure we could find her, and it was very easy. Our van was clean, new, comfortable, spacious, with great AC, and Costas did everything possible to reduce our walking distance on a very hot day. He is a safe driver, friendly and helpful. Tina is a born teacher. She brought visuals to teach us the lay of the land during the drive to the Temple of Zeus, so by the time we got there we knew the salient points and where to go. It is a magical place and worth the effort, especially since it also includes the original site of the Olympics. The museum on site exceeded all expectations with a surprisingly large collection of artifacts from everyday utensils and pottery to massive statues and so much more. We could have easily spent hours there. After this part of the tour, we went to Klio's Honey Farm and were dazzled by the serenity of the place and the charm of Klio who delivered the most interesting talk and demonstrations in addition to providing delicious refreshments. The farm has been in their family for generations, and we were thrilled to meet her mother as well. You'll see quince, walnut, and fig trees and lovely views. Tina was the best tour guide and prepared us for every facet of the tours and visits. She and Costas adjusted everything to our pace, and there was even plenty of time to go to the beach and then do some shopping before we headed back to our cruise. We have been to many places on this trip, but our day in Olympia was by far the best. A fond memory was the path we walked to Klio's... a friendly dog behind a fence came over to say hello and give us love. For those of us whose dogs are at home while we travel, this was an unexpected bonus. You will see cats and dogs in Greece, all lovely, but this dog was extra special. Cream-colored, on the small side, and she reached her paws through the fence to say hello, wagging her tail enthusiastically the whole time. It was our best day in Greece!

Stathis was absolutely knowledgeable and gave us great insight into Olympic lifestyle. We enjoyed our tour and highly recommend him as your tour guide!

Great little tour to see the sights at Olympia and awesome time at the honey farm. Driver was great as well
Shannon_S, Jul 2025
We had a wonderful time with Anastazia - she had a warm and friendly personality and great knowledge about the area and provided us highlights about it. Anastazia was a great host for this excursion and our group shared a few laughs that made the day more enjoyable! The tour highlight was actually the honey farm where Klio and her family shared their history of honey making and we had a great tasting too. Finished off the day with a quick refreshing dip! Overall if highly recommend this tour if you want the right blend of history, authenticity and beautiful water!!

Driver Andreas tailored our trip to our preferences which was awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
TimothyT_G, Jun 2025
Our experience in Olympia was special. We saw the ruins and museum, tasted fresh honey on diples, and ate lunch overlooking a beautiful beach in Katakolon. Our guide Andreas is a local and as kind and generous as we have ever experienced. He helped us understand the context for the history and culture making sure we were comfortable and hydrated along the way. Ask for him (or his daughter). They are amazing!

Yes, come to Olympia. Come for the wondrous history and temple ruins, come for the beach and the delicious honey-covered treat. But mostly, come for the chance to be entertained and guided by Charis (Harry). Charis was the most hospitable, warm, genuine, and cheerful guide my family and I have ever met. And this is based off of decades of traveling together — a unanimous feeling. Charis not only knew *every* vendor we came across, he gave us honest tips and tricks. He went above and beyond by extending our tour, obtaining some beer for my husband, and helped me find an elusive Christmas ornament in the middle of summer. All the while smiling, jovially laughing, and filling our time with incredible energy. I 100% recommend this tour just for the mere opportunity of hanging out with Charis!
Lennis_C, Jun 2025
This trip was expensive and really involved transportation to Olympia(we had to pay our admission price and do a self guided tour). We opted out of the honey farm(we also would have had to pay for that). The guide and driver were both professional and kind. The tour guide was fairly knowledgeable. She was difficult to hear at times.
William_C, Jun 2025
Wonderful Experience! Entire day was so enriching. Learned so much and felt so welcomed. The archaeological park was surprising with many artifacts so well preserved, and we had fun racing in the Olympic stadium! The bee farm was a beautiful and hospitable experience with delicious treats, and the beach was a great end to the day. Our guide Constantina allowed for a special quick souvenir stop for one of our friends in the party in which she actually got off the bus with her to guide her to the shop for her specific request!! The driver was skilled and we felt safe the whole time. Although we had time constraints, we never felt rushed and she felt like a friend by the end of the tour.
Helen_H, May 2025
The driver was very friendly and pleasant. We enjoyed the knowledge and history he shared about excursions we did. Love the fact he took us to the local places instead of just all the tourist spots. Would recommend this tour to everyone!!!
Kathy_M, May 2025
We were met as we exited the ship by our tour guide Andres. Our group of 10 had a few people who were unable to walk far so Andres modified our trip. We were on our own walking through Olympia Village which we preferred. He supplied oranges and even bottles of his own olive oil! The bus was great as was our driver Hercules! Very entertaining day. Highly recommend this company!
