10/10 This was amazing! It brought everything to life! If you're going to the ruins, this is a must! It adds a perspective of what life would have really been like and looked like.very cool! It also includes audio describing what each site was. Others around us were asking where we got the VR glasses and what it looked like. Best decision! Note: the main areas are included on the VR visuals, but there are ruins on the outskirts that dont have VR videos available. But you dont really miss it. You can still scan the barcode at the site with your phone and get the history.

The Back to the Future Virtual Eyglasses were absolutely amazing. More than I expected.
I believe Viator & the company can do better with transportation to & from as well as getting the information out to cruisers. Lots of folks on my cruise stopped to ask me about the glasses in which I explained. They were exhausted due to all the walking and not having that 3D experience I had with the glasses and the information (history) provided via the earpiece.
I really hope they coordinate some form of transportation. Only one company at the port knew where to take me and let us off the bus at the business. Getting there by 11am is the best option and much better than the 2 hrs the bus company provides. The ship also did not provide this option as a shore excursion but I'm going to share it with them.
Note: The company closes daily from 1:30 to 3pm.

Theres lots of walking, a lot to see. The experience seeing the old and new was exiting. We enjoyed a great dinner. Our tour guide was the best.

I gave this only four stars because I am directionally challenged and half the time I did not know which way to walk. If there was an arrow indicating direction on my screen it would have been most helpful. The audio was good but would have preferred more information. The people at the store were fantastic! We would do this again.

Would highly recommend this virtual reality self-guided walking tour for Olympia. Most of the sites at Ancient Olympia are very much in ruins - this tour gives information and context that are necessary to fully understand what you are looking at. The sign posts at the site are not enough to make sense of the ruins. You may look a little silly walking around with the glasses on, but it’s definitely worth it

The VR glasses showing the buildings and statues in all their grandeur was awesome!!! Many people around us kept asking what we were reacting to that they couldn’t see. In addition, many asked us where we rented the glasses. When we were returning them we noticed one of the people who asked outside your store!!! Kudos to you for this innovative idea!!!

This tour was simply the best. The VR glasses are easy to use. Others wandering around the archeology cite were reading signs and listening to tour guides. Our VR glasses showed us how it really looked with live action and a cool sounding British man narrating. There was an option for other languages. Everyone visiting this park should have these! A few people were curious and we showed them what we were doing. They all regretted not having them. And what a bargain compared to the cost of a tour guide! When you get off the bus in Olympia, call the number on the receipt. He will tell you where to come pick up the glasses( 1 minute walk) and give you a brief orientation. I am not good with gadgets, but found them easy to use!

What a phenomenal product. The 3D lets you see how things were back then. It adds a little bit of real life imagery. The stops 4 and 5 leading to 6 need work. Told to turn left and there were 2 paths. Feat were done.

The Olympia Walking tour with VR glasses was an amazing way to explore the Ancient Olympia site. The orientation at pick up office was thorough and the glasses were a perfect self guide. The virtual reality glasses gave a fascinating recreation of Olympia of the past. Many visitors stopped us to ask where they could hire them!

Booked this as an excursion while on a cruise to Greece. This would have been fine if you were not constrained by the ship arrival and departure time and location. To get to the store front where you pick up the equipment you must get transportation from the port to Olympus - about a 30 minute travel time. then you have to walk to the site pick up the equipment and walk about 1/2 mile to the actual ruins/park. Entrance into the park is not included and has to be paid before entry. They said it was because there are different rates based on age but only if you live in Greece as we found out at the gate. You then proceed to walk around the historical site and it is a lot of walking. Keep an eye on your time. The site said it could be walked in an hour or so but that does not included the walk to and from the storefront. The information provided via the VR was more than you get from the site as there are few markers around saying what anything is.

We think that you wrote a review to the wrong place, please write about your transportation problems to the business that you selected to visit Olympia.
As far as we can understand your biggest problem was the walking distance. Please take the train next time, which is just next to our office, or a taxi for even less walking.
Our office is in Olympia just 8 min away, on foot , from the Arch. Site. We gave you the VR glasses for 3 hours as we normaly do but you had a limited time to complete your visit due to your Bus.
They let you in Olympia for a very short time so how is this our fault?
The entrance is not included and we write that in the description. It is not fair to charge somebody that could enter for free or with a discount (free for kids under 25yo from EU or 50% discount for seniors over 65yo from EU , not only for Greece).
It is sad that many years of hard effort to offer something good to the visitors of Olympia can be rated with 1 star just because it was a lot of walking for somebody, this is not even a review that will help our business to become better. We hope you just had a bad day and we kindly ask you to delete your unfair review...

Great set up, really nice and poly-lingual owners who are not only highly welcoming but who provide simple and concise instruction for the RV glasses. I would suggest this experience to anyone since there is limited information about the buildings and the rich historical background directly on the site.

No need for a tour guide, the owner, the service and company were incredibly accommodating and hospitable. The glasses bring it to life as you listen to the stories. My boy’s absolutely loved it! Do yourself a favor and book this! Excellent value!

This was a great alternative to the traditional tour where you follow a guide in a group of 20 plus people. The voice guided tour of the archaeological site was easy to follow and the VR recreations of the original Olympic site provides a perspective on what these ancient ruins looked like in the past that you only get in the movies usually. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

The VR glasses were very helpful when touring the ruins however the building is quite a walk away from the site itself and on a very hot day can be a bit brutal. The VR rental DOES NOT INCLUDE ACCESS TO THE RUINS. you much purchase tickets to go in so you will invite an additional fee. It would have been nice to have the VR glasses bundled with a ticket so you can a pint the LONG lines.

This was a great way to visit the Olympic grounds! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and really appreciated the park more than we would without the VR. I definitely recommend this experience. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it was not clear in the tour description that the place to pick up and drop off the VR sets is a 15 minute walk to the park entrance and the fee to get into the park is not included in the rental. The description sounds like it is, but it was not for us and the price we paid is the same as listed in the tour description. We had to pay an additional 12 euros each to get into the park. The other glitch for us as visitors from a cruise ship was that we had to be on a bus to take us back to port at 2:30...NO exception and the VR Tour office closes from 2:00-3:00 each day. That meant that we had to be back at the office to return the VR headsets before 2:00 pm or we would not get our drivers license returned. Because of this, we really hurried through the park. The tour operator was very kind to try to work with us, but there wasn't much we could do. If you book this, try to give yourself at least 1.5 hours in the park and factor in the time to get to and from the tour office. It really did enhance the visit, I just wished we had more time.

It helped to see what the Ancient Olympia looked like 3000 years ago! I would recommend not getting VR glasses for kids but share yours with them because our kids didn’t wear theirs and we ended us carrying them around :).

Don’t even go to Olympia without the virtual tour! The technology is amazing and extremely easy to use. Without the virtual tour you will just be visiting the remains of the site. This tour brings the original Olympic Games back to life right in front of your eyes. Simultaneously the audio guide gives you the story behind what you are looking at. This is the only way to visit Olympia!

These made the visit to Olympia archaeological site amazing! I wasn’t sure how it would work, or if picking them up would be a hassle. It was super easy! We went with our parents in their late 70s and even they used them well. It changes how you understand what you are seeing so dramatically — I wish they had these for all sites!!! The glasses come with an audio component and a site map programmed into the tool. The glasses give you audio directions by using gps technology while you walk around the site. Can’t recommend these enough!!
