What makes this experience truly special is the rare quality of the products you’ll taste — Cup of Excellence–ranked coffee from Finca Las Nieves and award-winning fine aroma chocolates — paired with expert guidance that helps you notice details, aromas, and flavor notes you might otherwise miss. It’s an intimate, curated journey led by someone who lives and breathes these products, making each tasting not just delicious, but unforgettable.

Arriving at any airport can be a bit stressful, especially if it’s in a country you’ve never visited before. Book this Merida Private Transfer from Merida International Airport (MID) ahead of time and avoid the stress altogether of flagging down a last-minute taxi. Ride comfortably to your hotel in a private vehicle and choose your group size when booking. A driver meets you right at the Merida Airport’s arrivals area.

Your experience begins in Mérida’s historic center, where you’ll meet your local guide and visit a traditional Day of the Dead altar, surrounded by marigolds, incense, and meaningful offerings while learning about this iconic Mexican tradition. Continue to the lively Lucas de Gálvez Market, where you’ll explore colorful stalls and select fresh ingredients for your cooking experience and ofrenda. Enjoy a traditional breakfast of pan de muerto and hot chocolate, a seasonal favorite. Then, travel by local bus to your host’s home for an authentic cultural experience. Take part in building a traditional ofrenda and feel free to bring a photo to honor a loved one. Next, join a hands-on cooking class and learn to prepare a 3-course Yucatecan meal, including the iconic pib, a dish prepared especially for Day of the Dead. End your experience by enjoying the meal you’ve created in a warm, local setting — a meaningful blend of culture, food, and tradition.
