Our day in Marseille with Georgi

Just breathtaking. The Mediterranean, the mountains the scenery it was everything I could have hoped for. Georgi was fantastic. He was friendly energetic and very knowledgeable. He lives in Marseille so he knows a great deal and is very intelligent. ANYONE visiting Paris should do this. It is so easy. We took the train in the am and back in the evening which was very relaxing. We chose the executive car and is was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. If you are going to France you owe it to yourself to spend the day with Georgi. You will not regret it and it will be so much more memorable than a museum or the Eiffel Tower.This was SO much better than crowded tourist traps standing in line and getting pushed around. The bullet train was so relaxing we slept almost all the way there and back arriving refreshed.

Une journee parfaite (Perfect Day) in Marseille!

What a unique treat to get an insiders look at the make-up of Marseille and the surrounding area! Alex was wonderful. He was funny, very intelligent and not shy about sharing his very intuitive input on art, social issues, the history and life in Marseille. The car (Brigitte!) was a perfect way to enjoy a gorgeous blue-sky day while we drove the coastal road and in and around neighborhoods. He made perfectly timed stops at cathedrals, parks and a seaside town nearby. We were visiting Marseille just for the day from a Mediterranean cruise and this was by far one of our favorite adventures on that trip, AND one of the better experiences we've had in Europe. Alex takes the time to prepare himself with the right details and stories as we drove along. As we got to know him, he shared his thoughts on living in that area. We really appreciated his style. This is EXACTLY what you would want to do in this place. Spend time with a local who tours you around in a vintage (adorable!) Citroen. We highly recommend this tour, but sign up early so you don't miss out.

Best way to see Marseille

Awesome tour. Jordan our guide was great with very clear English and knowledge of the history of the city. Great views of the city. This was by far the best way to see the city of Marseille in a half day. After biking, it was only a short five minute walk to the fashion stores of Viuex Port.

Paolo was absolutely the best guide and driver! Clear communications for English and local French speakers. He had a relationship with the lavender farmers and knew ‘surprise’ off the regular tourist fields. Timing was perfect. Great driver! Bring water!!!! And sun screen and clothes. We had Nichola as our tour guide for our port day in Marseilles. He met us at the cruise terminal and drove us around for the whole day He was a wealth of knowledge and gave excellent suggestions for the best macarons in Aix-en-Provence, and a delicious sea side restaurant in Cassie. He was flexible with the itinerary and very accommodating as we had kids with us aging 4-15. We so enjoyed our time with Nichola and would gladly request him on our next trip.
