What a unique treat to get an insiders look at the make-up of Marseille and the surrounding area! Alex was wonderful. He was funny, very intelligent and not shy about sharing his very intuitive input on art, social issues, the history and life in Marseille. The car (Brigitte!) was a perfect way to enjoy a gorgeous blue-sky day while we drove the coastal road and in and around neighborhoods. He made perfectly timed stops at cathedrals, parks and a seaside town nearby. We were visiting Marseille just for the day from a Mediterranean cruise and this was by far one of our favorite adventures on that trip, AND one of the better experiences we've had in Europe. Alex takes the time to prepare himself with the right details and stories as we drove along. As we got to know him, he shared his thoughts on living in that area. We really appreciated his style. This is EXACTLY what you would want to do in this place. Spend time with a local who tours you around in a vintage (adorable!) Citroen. We highly recommend this tour, but sign up early so you don't miss out.
This was a super unique and personable way to see Marseille and Cassis with the little time we had there! We got off the cruise ship and Morgan was right there in the private tours area waiting. She was very knowledgeable about the area and showed us her favorite spots. It was nice having a guide who grew up in the area as you could tell how much love she had for the place. If you have enough time to go to Cassis, do it! Morgan gave us 2 hours to get lunch and roam around, and even gave us some suggestions for where to go. Then she took us to a winery and they showed us how they make the wine and gave us a tasting. It was really cool to drive around in such a cute old car with the breeze blowing around you. Pro tip - bring a hat! Morgan let me wear one of hers all day so my hair wasn’t flying all over.
We had a beautiful morning exploring the city and surrounding areas with Morgane. She was an amazing guide showing us all the must sees and some cool spots off the beaten path. Would recommend this adventure to anyone.
It’s a great way to Marseille! Edi was a really knowledgeable guide who gave us insight only a local can provide. The classic Citroen is super cool and fun, and we got smiles and thumbs-up all day. Highly recommended!

was totally awesome. So full of life, very animated, great sense of humor and very knowledgeable on the city of Marseille. We had a blast on this tour, and I'm sure, it will be the highlight of our cruise never to be forgotten. Absolutely loved it.
Our tour guide did not show up. The “story” is that they “accidentally” picked up another family. Would not recommend. Thankfully Viator gave us a refund. It’s the only thing we had planned for the day and we were very excited about it. Waited an hour and a half from the cruise terminal. A very sad, bad experience.

It appears that a mix-up occurred during the booking process due to an unexpected coincidence: two clients with the same first name and very similar last name booked excursions for the same day. Unfortunately, this situation led to confusion during the organization of the departures by the port.

We offered you to reschedule the departure for 2pm instead of 9.30am as a solution to remedy this situation. As you didn't accept the offer we obviously refunded you the experience and send you once again our apologies for this inconvenience.

We were in Marsailles off a cruise ship and Viatour sent easy and clear instructions. Edi, our driver, rang in the morning to confirm pickup location as port of Marseilles is huge. Recommend paying a bit extra if you are on a big ship for driver to pick you up at your ship. We have always loved this French car with its unique look and basic function. Edi embodies everything we love about French culture. He is so enthusiastic about his hometown of Marsailles it is contagious. The drive to Cassis on the 'open road' over the mountain with stunning views of the Med are extraordinary. We lucked out in Cassis as it was market day (Wed). The port town is charming. It was an excellent day and would do it again.
Edi was fabulous - great drive and great fun. We had a blast - even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits!
We had a wonderful round trip in a great original French old car and our driver Morgane went to great trouble to show us great places and areas even just outside Marseille / center.
We enjoyed every minute and can only recommend this ride.
