Great Marseilles Overview

Got back to the port with plenty of time to get back to the ship. Olga was great and told us a lot of good details about the area we were in. After a short bus drive and a guided audio tour we got some time to explore on our own. Very easy to navigate and no issues finding the meeting point after the independent explore time. There are multiple stops so you get a very well rounded experience. Our family of 8 attended with a senior, 4 adults and 3 children and we all enjoyed it. The bus is a little farther than where the typical excursions leave from. Approximately a 5 minute walk from the boat.

Disorganized; didn’t pick up at the ship; bus was late. Supposed to leave at 8:00; changed to 8:30-8:45. Didn’t actually leave until 9:00. Tour guide was apologetic about the situation and knowledgeable about the city. Tour itself was excellent.

Please note that the “Meeting and Pickup” section of the tour description clearly states that pickup starts 30 minutes before the tour departure. If you do not feel comfortable waiting for your fellow cruisers during disembarkation and pickup, we strongly recommend considering a private tour rather than a shared tour. When booking future activities via Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description rather than on personal assumptions and ambitions.
