Just breathtaking. The Mediterranean, the mountains the scenery it was everything I could have hoped for. Georgi was fantastic. He was friendly energetic and very knowledgeable. He lives in Marseille so he knows a great deal and is very intelligent. ANYONE visiting Paris should do this. It is so easy. We took the train in the am and back in the evening which was very relaxing. We chose the executive car and is was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. If you are going to France you owe it to yourself to spend the day with Georgi. You will not regret it and it will be so much more memorable than a museum or the Eiffel Tower.This was SO much better than crowded tourist traps standing in line and getting pushed around. The bullet train was so relaxing we slept almost all the way there and back arriving refreshed.

Wonderful experience! Georgie knows his city well! He was friendly and knowledgeable and not just a driver. He took us to so many sites in such little time. The bakery was Bellisima! We loved our day with him! Highly recommended!

We (family of 4) had an excellent private tour of Marseille that covered all the highlights of the area in just five hours. The itinerary was perfectly planned, with stops at incredible scenic viewpoints for photos and a fantastic lunch spot that we never would have found on our own.

Georgi was in regular communication with us and on time to start the tour. His English was great and his knowledge of the area and love of his home was evident. He was flexible with the itinerary and adjusted stops due to the weather and avoidance of mass so that we could go inside the church. Highly recommend

Gorge, was very knowledgeable and shared things about Marseille that you will not get on a large tour! He was very accommodating to our conversations we were having in the car and small
we needed, like a bakery we needed with a bathroom verses without. He was well versed in English, French and Bulgarian!! We enjoyed him so very much and all the special things he did.. He had water in the car for all 4 of us, her dropped us right off at special points of interest and see so prompt with his return. He was the best! You won’t go wrong with this tour of Marcella. There were four of us including two over 6 ft tall guys. We all fit. This is not a van but a nice car with a great driver/ tour guide. We saw everything on our list very conveniently. Very friendly and informative tour guide. Marseille does not have the attractions of a Rome or Florence but it is very worthwhile to take this type of tour. 10/10 would recommend!

I cancelled this tour a day in advance though never received a cancellation number from Viator. The driver drove to the pick up point and called me and I again confirmed that I had cancelled the tour. The driver said he did not get the cancel notice ( probably due to a glitch in the system) and then chose to keep the entire fee I had paid ( several hundred dollars) rather than giving me back even a partial refund. He was rude. He kept all my money for doing almost nothing. Viator provided no support. Unfortunately, this loss of cash for us will prevent us from being able to enjoy other excursions we would have liked to do. I cannot recommend this tour guide given his rudeness and refusal to provide any kind of refund for doing nothing.

I’m sorry this experience was disappointing. According to our records and Viator, no cancellation was received before the tour. I reached out the day before via Viator to confirm your booking; had you indicated that you wished to cancel, I would have accepted a refund. Another tour request for the same time had to be declined because the tour time was already reserved, and I was unable to fill it later that day. I tried to contact you numerous times on the day of the tour but I was unable to. Since free cancellations are only allowed at least 24 hours in advance, and taken everything into consideration, a refund could not be issued.
I truly regret how this unfolded and wish circumstances had allowed me to provide the tour as planned.

This was a very disappointing tour with our guy, Georgie. He is much more of an Uber driver than a tour guide, and I would not recommend his to anyone. In your message, you listed several reasons why you were upset. Since none of those details are mentioned in your review, I’ll address them here so future clients can have the full picture.
You accuse me of being more of an Uber driver than a guide. I am a private driver — that is clearly advertised — but I provide information about every site you visit, and I answered every question you asked. I never claimed this tour was an accompanied walking tour with a licensed guide; it is stated in the title that it is driver-led.
You also claimed there is “nothing to see in Marseille.” That is simply not true — the full tour description lists multiple historic and scenic stops, as proven by the many reviews from past passengers who found it to be a fulfilling and memorable tour. The reason you feel you “didn’t see much” is because your wife specifically requested places where you could walk freely rather than just stop at tourist landmarks. To accommodate her request, I took you to Cassis — even though it wasn’t originally part of the itinerary and is outside of Marseille. But because you were on a cruise, we had to skip two planned stops to make sure you’d return on time. I still gave you one full hour in Cassis, bringing the tour to 6 hours instead of the intended 5.
At around 1:30 PM, your wife asked if we could stop for lunch at a restaurant. I recommended a bakery with good sandwiches and explained that without advance planning, a restaurant stop that late would mean skipping more of the tour — or missing Cassis entirely. I also offered to go straight to Cassis where you’d have more options and more time. You chose the bakery. I did not join you inside out of etiquette — I was your driver for the day, and I did not want to intrude on your lunch. If you had any difficulty ordering, I was right outside and would have gladly helped if you had called me.
On the way to Cassis, your wife asked for a stop at a winery for a tasting — again, without any prior notice. While driving, I was suddenly expected to look up and call vineyards on the fly to find immediate availability with no booking. That would have meant skipping something else or risking being late to your cruise. I’d like to clarify that I contacted you the day before the tour to confirm and to see if you had questions or requests. The only information you provided was how to locate you.
You also complained about the vehicle, expecting a van for the same price. Private van tours cost at least €300 more — or you could have joined a group tour. This tour is advertised as a private car tour, suitable for up to 4 people, and it is neither small nor uncomfortable.
At the end of the tour, all of you seemed very pleased and thanked me. You even left a generous tip — for which I was grateful. If you had at that moment expressed that you were unhappy, I would have immediately offered a partial refund to make things right. But nothing in your words or attitude suggested dissatisfaction — quite the opposite — which is why your review came as a surprise.
Once again, I’m sorry the experience didn’t meet your expectations. But I believe your disappointment comes from expecting services that were never advertised — not from a failure on my part to deliver what was promised.

Great trip to the major sites around Marseilles. Georgi explained the history, and was right there to pick us up when we texted if he dropped us off to visit a site. He was very friendly and helpful managing my wife’s transport chair, and we had great conversations. Would very much recommend Georgi for a private or small-group tour in the Marseille/Nice area.
