The museum is located in the historic workshop and home of Pedro de Mena, a 17th-century artist known for his religious sculptures.

There is a nominal admission fee.

Félix Revello de Toro’s famous painting, Sumida en el sueño, covers almost an entire wall. Displayed in a pitch-black room with lights illuminating it from above, it depicts a pale-skinned woman in a white nightdress sleeping on a bed covered with white sheets.
