Excellent Tour!
This was a great tour. We traded Cuernavaca for a visit to the Xochicalco ruins instead which was amazing. All three locations would not have been possible. The guide knew a lot about the ruins and we had a great visit to a very sparsely visited site. We rode in nice clean van with a great driver. Taxco was amazing as well and we had a great lunch overlooking the town.

Silver Cities
Both cities feature visits to jewelry stores with a wide selection of silver items. Explanations were provided about the differences in the quality of silver. Both cities feature their Catholic churches and their unique art and design. The colonial architecture of the buildings of Taxco's city centre and it's white wash is rather stunning. Our guide, Eduardo, was informative, jovial and has a great sense of humour, which I truly appreciate.

Way too much time spent...
Way too much time spent in the silver boutiques. One rather than two would have been great. Our guide compounded two jobs, being the driver and the guide and in two languages.. She is a Super driver 5 Stars for sure!

Ulysses was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. The sights were very interesting and surprising in their appearance. The caves were a particular highlight.

Guerrero
Taxco
  • Taxco is a great overnight stop if you're traveling between Acapulco and Mexico City, with a solid selection of nice, if not luxurious, hotels.

  • Try Taxco’s signature drink, called Berta, a combination of tequila with honey and lemon.

  • Safety in the Mexican state of Guerrero has come into question due to crime, according to the US Department of State. Although tourists are rarely targeted, travelers considering a visit should refer to their government’s travel advisories for the latest information.
