Excellent Tour!
This was a great tour. We traded Cuernavaca for a visit to the Xochicalco ruins instead which was amazing. All three locations would not have been possible. The guide knew a lot about the ruins and we had a great visit to a very sparsely visited site. We rode in nice clean van with a great driver. Taxco was amazing as well and we had a great lunch overlooking the town.

Easy access by car from CDMX. Cuernavaca and Taxco are beautiful cities with rich architectural history.
Daniel and Marta were gracious, personable guides and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Cuernavaca and Taxco. They made the trip easy and enjoyable.

Long but great
Our tour guide Pável was amazing ! He definitely had plenty of knowledge on the pre-Hispanic stories and highlights of the towns we visited. Our tour included round trip transportation, the van was actually comfortable with AC and chargers. It’s an all day trip so be aware to not reserve anything else for the night. First stop was at Cuernavaca where we briefly went inside the church , then we stopped at a restaurant where Buffet was waiting for us (you pay for your plate + drink) The guide then took us downstairs to a silver store and they explained the process of silver making and time to buy jewelry if you wished. Our next stop was Taxco (the reason why I booked) I simply loved this magical town! It was so lively with live music, people dancing at the plaza and plenty of vendors and stores to buy souvenirs. I had some authentic ice cream, churros and got me some beautiful art from a local vendor (always buy from locals!!) Gracias Pavel y nuestro conductor Martin por hacer está expericia tan divertida.

Good tour but it is a long day. Our tour guide was very pleasant and informative. Cuernavaca is a bigger city with a smaller colonial city center. Taxco was quaint and good place to purchase silver.

Sunny trip to Cuernavaca and Taxco
This was a lovely trip to take. Not far away from Mexico City, you get the chance to visit two places Cuernavaca and Taxco on the same day, and not get too tired. We also stoped by to shop for some silver jewlery and had an amazing lunch in Taxco. This town is amazing, beautiful views, quaint streets, cute little corners, and ofcourse lovely people. Our tour guide Julio Cesar was well prepared, full of positive energy and always there for us. Thank you!

Silver Cities
Both cities feature visits to jewelry stores with a wide selection of silver items. Explanations were provided about the differences in the quality of silver. Both cities feature their Catholic churches and their unique art and design. The colonial architecture of the buildings of Taxco's city centre and it's white wash is rather stunning. Our guide, Eduardo, was informative, jovial and has a great sense of humour, which I truly appreciate.

When to visit

Taxco is a great overnight stop if you're traveling between Acapulco and Mexico City, with a solid selection of nice, if not luxurious, hotels.
Try Taxco’s signature drink, called Berta, a combination of tequila with honey and lemon.
