We left our cruise ship and used the Livorno shuttle from the cruise port. We were met from the shuttle bus by the Viator team. The excursion was extremely interesting and I liked that we went to Lucca first leaving Pisa for the afternoon. We included the tower ticket which I would highly recommend. The tower was very interesting. Our tour guides brought us straight back to the cruise port which saved us using the shuttle bus.

An absolutely amazing Florence trip! We had the absolute pleasure of being guided and driven around by Gabriela, who is incredibly knowledgeable about the province. He made our arrival so easy by picking us up directly from the cruise terminal. We traveled in a group of eight—including my 80+ year-old grandmother—and Gabriela ensured the entire tour was completely comfortable and easy to walk for everyone. Also on top of that, the price is so much cheaper than what our cruise offered. I recommend him to anyone who is travelling here and wish to have a quick one day Tuscan experience. Also he wrote down the places we should visit in a short period of time, church of Croce was a pleasant surprise!

Omi is AMAZING! And Lorenzo is a FABULOUS driver. Omi went the extra mile to make sure our dream trip to Florence and Pisa was everything and more than we expected. She not only provided local knowledge, she also gave us pointers on how to avoid tourist traps and fake Italian goods AND she even helped us find an amazing restaurant and a place for gelato afterwards. Lorenzo went the extra mile to get permission to drive directly into the port so he could drop us off right at our cruise ship! There was just myself and my wife on the tour so we were very impressed that it wasn’t cancelled. Bea was a fantastic guide who showed us the history of Livorno before starting the food part of the tour. We were taken to the outdoor and indoor market as well as small, local food & drink places you wouldn’t consider as a tourist. If you’re arriving on a cruise ship I’d highly recommend taking this independent tour rather than the one offered by the cruise company. It starts and finishes by the port shuttle drop off point, is cheaper and more intimate than anything a cruise company will offer you. Thanks Bea, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

An Absolute Breeze from Port to Pisa!

Taking this excursion from the Livorno port made visiting Pisa completely stress-free! Our guide, Tommaso, was waiting at the meeting point ready to greet us even though we arrived early, and he guided us seamlessly through Porta Santa Maria into Piazza dei Miracoli so no one got lost. We had plenty of free time to climb the Leaning Tower, snap photos, and enjoy a relaxed lunch. We purchased a ticket at the port to get from the ship to the city center via shuttle bus. The tour company meeting point was immediately where the shuttle dropped us. The tour group was very big. We filled a large double decker tour bus. Once in Florence, we took a walking tour with the guide to see the main sights (exterior only). There were many people in the group and it was hard to hear the guide unless we got up very close. After the walking tour, we had free time to shop and have lunch. We then went to Pisa and walked around the main square and saw the tower. We had free time in Pisa. The driver was able to drive us directly back to port so we did not need to take the shuttle back which was very nice.
