Top Kotor Private Sightseeing Tours

This was a good experience. It's not really a tour, but more like a private speedboat transport between the port, Our Lady of the Rocks, Perast, and back. Branco was our captain and he was very friendly and kind. Easy to find them at the port and it was nice not having to be on a boat with 30 other people. We loved walking around Perast and just enjoying the weather and beautiful views.

Our driver was excellent - picked us up at the cruise port with no trouble. Had lots of interesting information about Montenegro. We loved the countryside and the views of the bay and Kotor. One downside (nothing to do with the driver or the tour company) is that Montenegro is getting REALLY over-touristed. There were 4 cruise ships in port the day we were there. It took us an extra 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to get back into town due to stop-and-go (mostly stop) traffic. At a minimum, give yourself extra time to get back to the ship. (The smoke in the picture is due to the fires that were happening in Spain at the time.)

This was one of the best tours of this trip we have had. The coordinating representative contacted us the night before to let us know he would be outside the port gate and even sent a photo of the spot. As promised he was there with signage. Our tour guide, Vasilije, showed up shortly thereafter. He explained we would go to the cable car first to beat the crowd and to ensure we had good weather. Enroute he explained the culture, gave pertinent history and pointed out landmarks. Once we got to the cable car, we had no wait and the view up was spectacular. My husband is a little fearful of heights, however, Visilije, engaged him in conversation to help relax him. Once we got to the top, Visilije, explained what all was available and the best places for photos. The view was amazing and there was a roller coaster and several other rides. True enough, by the time we left, it was getting very crowded. This experience is definitely worth it. The views going down were just as spectacular!!! From the Cable Car, we drove to the quaint town of Perast. Vasilije knew a few side streets to get around some of the traffic jams. Once at Perast, we were taken to the boat that took us to the island with the Lady of the Rocks Church. The Church was beautiful and some great photo spots. We then took the boat back to Perast and had free time to explore the tiny village. Visilije picked us up and was quite engaging as he explained what we should see in Old Town. We ended the tour with Visilije dropping us at the beginning of Old Town. Old Town is quite charming and beautiful. A Great experience and tour.

Our guide was amazing! We took the cable car to the top of the mountain where the views overlooking the sea were stunning. Our guide met us at the top with the car and we continued the tour from there. We learned about the history and visited a local place for delicious prosciutto, cheese, and wine. We also visited Cetinje Monastery and tried some local delicacies. Amazing experience!

We had a fantastic day on the water, with Milan as the guide. We saw the most beautiful places, bathed in the sea several times and Milan was a super guide, good to come around and talk to everyone and tell a lot of historical things about the places we came by. Will at any time recommend this tour if you want to see Kotor Bay from the water.

Our tour of Kotor and Perast with Olena was absolutely wonderful. This excursion was awesome!! Kayaking on the Adriatic was an incredible experience. So beautiful! The blue caves and black caves should not be missed. Breathtaking lees and unforgettable, brilliant water. The black caves were so cool - like nothing we’ve experienced before. Armando was the BEST!! He took us through the caves and rocks and led us to the most amazing swimming and snorkeling areas. His experience and expertise was top notch. He made the experience informative, fun, and safe. We highly recommend this excursion!!

Doing a tour instead of just walking around made it much more meaningful! Miroslav shared with us that he was new, and we never would have known – he was like an old pro! Well-prepared, organized, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. (In fact, a couple overheard him and asked if they could join the tour. He handled it graciously – which I appreciated since we had booked a private tour - although that said much about how impressed they were with what they heard!) And at the end, I had trouble getting Internet access, and he actually called our boat tour and walked us over there. He went above and beyond!
