Fabulous, must do
What a great few hours and strongly recommend it to anyone.
We started in the market with Sarah and learnt about the local foods and where they are sourced from, Then into central Khao lak for our cooking school. We were a group of 4 and as there were 10 participants on the day, we were split into 2 groups - so we all had plenty of space and time cooking. Wandee is the head chef, having worked overseas, and got huge knowledge of Thai food and cooking. She has a great personality, made it fun and interesting and they also asked us for our favourite Thai dishes in advance so they could tailor the school to us.
She has a lovely team and even though it was a hot day in July, the cooking area is well shaded and cool and we didnt overheat (just over ate!!)
We know have recipes and loads of tips to cook better Thai at home - cant recommend this more highly and I will repeat when I come back next year

Mémorable expérience
Very relaxed tour, lots of opportunity to see the elephants close up in natural surroundings. They are well cared for & although the stories behind their arrival are sad, it is great to know that their retirement is a peaceful one. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable wow good level of English & was able to answer all our questions. Would highly recommend visiting this sanctuary as opposed to the more staged photo opportunity experiences on offer.

A must do experience
Chef Apple was amazing! From the moment we met her at pickup til drop off we had an amazing time. She was able to accommodate every dietary restriction we had. Everything was a 100/100. The food, recipe's, market, staff were all great. Learned a lot about Thai food and produce. Very educational. Would definitely book again.

At this point in our trip...
At this point in our trip we had been all over Thailand, and our whole group agreed it was one of our favorite days. We went in low season and were lucky enough to only have 5 people total. Our guide was Perry, she was amazing, took great care of us, and even brought us snacks to try. Absolutely the sweetest. Views on the tour were stunning and so worth it. Lunch was provided and (as a picky eater) probably the best food to date on the trip. So so yummy. Absolutely would take this tour again.

Fantastic ATV experience
The ATV 2 hrs experience was fantastic. Staff gave an introduction how to operate the vehicle then off you go. Very attentive with one staff leading and 1 staff trailing. We did off road and through the water. Just a little challenge to have fun , but also keeping it safe. They took photos and videos along the way and WhatsApp us at the end.

Good experience
Very good organised trip, Marta our guide was very informative and pleasant. Water rafting was good and an experience whilst here in Thailand. Take a towel and change of clothing as we did get a little wet. It was a nice half day trip for us which also included the turtle sanctuary and the waterfall was dry at this time of year but she took us to a temple instead. Glad we did it.

Pleasant Half Day Trip
The pick up was on time and the travel less than 30 minutes to the Tuttle Conservation centre. Seeing and hearing about the Conservation work undertaken was interesting and as a bonus one of the Tsunami memorials are situated here which was poignant. We were taken to a waterfall but being as we are still in the dry season (early April) it was a trickle. The rafting was a really pleasant experience, wow the rafters put some work in. Be prepared to be wet as you are basically sat in the water. As with our all round experience in Thailand there is no pressure to up sell souvenirs, photos etc

A Great Day Trip
It’s a great itinerary, and the scenery is beautiful. Our guide and driver were excellent. The lunch spot was perfect—beautiful setting and delicious food. We were hoping the guide could share a bit more about Thailand’s history, culture, and plantations during the journey. Overall, it was a great tour.

Awesome elephant tour!
This was a wonderful small group tour and we got to feed the elephants, take lots of pictures, and talk with the guides at length about the elephants. The elephants only do what they want to do, so very respectful of the animals. And each elephant has it’s own personality and you really get to see that on this tour. Highly recommend it!

Great way to spend a day
We had an amazing day on our tour with Marta. Every stop was thoughtfully planned, and she made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. Spending time with the elephants was unforgettable, the visit to the Buddhist temple was peaceful and meaningful, and rafting down the river was the perfect way to end the day. Marta was warm, knowledgeable, and truly a pleasure to spend time with. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

one-of-a-kind experience...
one-of-a-kind experience learning about Buddha and the temples that honor him. Arissa was our tour guide and she was AMAZING. She is so kind and was very informative in answering all of our questions along the way. I highly recommend doing this temple tour. The lunch that is provided was so delicious. 10/10 experience!

Fabulous trip
We had a wonderful day with Marta our guide. Collected from our hotel in a small van with 8 others, our first stop to the long boat for travel to the sea canoes. Amazing scenery along the way. Sea canoes were brilliant especially as a family of three we were kept together by our canoeists which meant we could take photos etc. wonderful to go through the mango forest and see the monkeys. Onwards to James Bond island which as previously mentioned is exceptionally busy!! Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. We had a buffet style lunch at the floating village which catered for everyone and then some free time to wonder - don’t get lost!! Boat ride back and then onto the monkey temple. I took some towels with me so was able to cover my shoulders and knees ( ladies only). We didn’t feed the monkeys as advised but there are plenty of other tourists that do.
Overall a full day but worth doing. We had a great time and was very well looked after.

Khao Lak is famous for its beautiful beaches and easy access to the Thai islands. To explore the area with ease, take one of the many Khao Lak tours on offer––there’s something for everyone. Zip over to James Bond Island, featured in The Man With the Golden Gun; hop on a traditional bamboo raft for a serene turtle-spotting excursion; or admire elephants in their natural habitat at a sanctuary. Of course, no trip to Thailand would be complete without a cooking lesson, where you can learn to whip up classic Thai dishes such as red curry and pad thai.
