Overview
Combine a trip with rafting along the river, a chance to see how the area’s sea turtles are being cared for, and a visit to the impressive Ton Pling Waterfall on this half-day, small-group tour. All of your transport is arranged for you, so you don’t need to hassle with organizing this yourself. Safety gear is provided to keep you secure, as well as drinking water to keey you hydrated in the jungle.

You can also get picked up from anywhere in Khao Lak. Pick up from your hotel is between 08.00 a.m. - 08.30 a.m . The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking. Please plan to meet your driver at your hotel lobby at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late or after we have moved from your hotel, you may be considered a no-shows.

The pick up was on time and the travel less than 30 minutes to the Tuttle Conservation centre. Seeing and hearing about the Conservation work undertaken was interesting and as a bonus one of the Tsunami memorials are situated here which was poignant. We were taken to a waterfall but being as we are still in the dry season (early April) it was a trickle. The rafting was a really pleasant experience, wow the rafters put some work in. Be prepared to be wet as you are basically sat in the water. As with our all round experience in Thailand there is no pressure to up sell souvenirs, photos etc

The trip was well organised & good fun , the bamboo rafting was serine & peaceful as was the turtle sanctuary, the waterfall was ok but a bit of a waste of time.
The tour rep & driver were informative & really nice , bonus was Adam’s English was excellent.👍👍

Really good experience. I expected the waterfall to be a bit bigger but overall the trip was great. The bamboo rafting was good and we even got to see some snakes in the trees

We took this trip early November 2025 and it's a great little morning trip, half hour away from khaolak. You can leave your bags on your bus, they are safe. Make sure you wear your swimmers on the way because your bum will get wet on the bamboo rafting. Turtles are lovely whatever their size and there are big and small there. Also on the same site is a tsunami memorial which is worth a look. Lastly was the waterfall stop, refreshing for a cool swim in the pools but might get busy in the high season. Nowhere really to get changed but dry yourself off best you can and sit on your towel for the 10 minute drive back to khaolak.

We had an amazing day. Tammy was a great guide. The rafting was such an incredible experience. So serene. The sea turtle Conversation center was very educational. The waterfall was lovely but the water was cold. The pace was great. It was the perfect half day excursion if you are in Khao Lak. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience. This was incredibly peaceful and a great way to connect with nature and the beauty of Thailand through the bamboo rafting. Highly recommended. Here after 1 month of rain in the rainy season and river full of clear water so could see the bottom of the river, prob 4-5ft at deepest point. Bamboo trip about 40 mins long and we saw about 3 snakes. One huge one swimming at bank and two hanging above our heads. It was really relaxing. As others say take a small hand towel from hotel to sit on for comfort.
Everyone was super friendly and tour guide was super informative. She gave us a full tour of the turtle santuary and one of the workers there gave my daughter a baby turtle to hold they were putting back in a tank. Shes training to be a vet so was really interesting. They explained how they recover them as they hatch on Similar Island to increase their chance of survival to 80% Turtle sanctuary is on an army base with a handy cafe. Waterfall was really good also. Quite tricky for all re boulders to get in and out though but a good photo opportunity. We loved the half day trip and took hundreds of photos and videos. Thank you ❤️

Really enjoyed the sea turtle Center and the bamboo rafting, the waterfall was disappointing but it’s probably because it wasn’t in full flow. Our tour guide was fun.

Told our hotel was not on pickup area, paid for a taxi to a hotel on their list, only to then pass our hotel twice during other pick ups? Now they are refusing a refund for our taxi - poor customer service and loss of future bookings !

The rafting was so peaceful. The staff in charge were very helpful and seamlessly organized into pairs on the rafts. They took their time, so we got lots of pictures and offered us snacks and water between parts of the activities. I loved going to the turtle sanctuary. Our guide was very funny and knowledgeable. The waterfall trip at the end of excursion was cool, although we went on a crowded day and time, so it was difficult climbing the slippery rocks down to the waterfall and through the water to the base of the waterfall.

The turtle conservation was informative thanks to our guide. All of the staff were great but the river was too low. It was just a lot of work for our raft guide. I wish I was aware in advance and skipped the river.

It was nice experience! Turtles are adorable and the rafting was calm and relaxing! They also explain us how rubber tree juices work and treated us with nice refreshments! Take your swim suit and towel if you’d like to swim in the natural jacuzzi (waterfall).

The day was so nice! DD was an EXCELLENT tour guide, very knowledgeable and fun. The bamboo rafting was so incredible and peaceful.we went towards the end of dry season, so the water level was LOW. But we had a wonderful time. The sea turtles were so cute, and you can tell that DD loves them and how Thailand (both government and volunteers) are helping to restore the species (green sea turtles) to a healthy population.
We, as a group, opted out of visiting the waterfall. Again dry season and DD said it was barely going. She offered to still take us, if we chose to, but as a group we opted to skip it.

Buchung und Organisation sehr gut verlaufen, wurden pünktlich am hotel abgeholt, mit minivan fuhren wir zuerst zu Schildkröten Reservat, hatten genug Zeit zum schauen, dann ging es weiter zu Wasserfall, konnten dort frische Smooti trinken. Danach fuhren wir weiter für den flussrafting. Es hat leider wenig Wasser gehabt aber wir sind problemlos gefahren, hatten sehr nette Leute die uns bis am Schluss gut unterhalten haben. Es hat uns sehr viel spaß gemacht. Am Schluss gab es noch Wassermelone und Wasser.
Es war ein gelungenes trip, der ca. 3 Stunden dauerte. Danach wurden wir zum hotel zurück gebracht.
