Pashupatinath Temple and Ceremonies
Got a very deep and intense insight to the history of Pashupatinath Temple and surroundings.
The cremation ceremonies were awesome and the Ararat ceremony was stunning.
My guide provided me with a deep inside to all features and did answer all my questions to enlarge my knowledge of Hinduism.
Can only recommend it!

Really special
It was the best experience in pashupatinath. I was there already twice but this time I came to places I didn’t know existed. Nabil gave me a lot of in depth knowledge and I received blessings of 2 yogis. However 5 hours seems long, it flew by. It was def 1 of my Nepal highlights.

Unique experience not to be missed
Very unique experience-well done and should not be missed. Please read up on the funeral practices of Hindus so you will not be surprised but will understand what is happening.

A wonderful experience.
Mahesh Ji was so knowledgeable and very accommodating. He just knows a lot and was explaining things in a very detailed manner. I walked all around the city with him and enjoyed the tour! Highly recommended.

A unique experience and...
A unique experience and great way to experience local culture. Nabin was very knowledgeable and provided an abundance of interesting information. The tour winded through Pashupatinath with smells of incense and sounds of bells. It was somber at times, witnessing grieving families at the crematoria. An educational observation of perspectives on death. The night closed with the festive ritual of Sandhya Aarati.

Great guide and driver a must in this busy city!
My guide and driver were super! Highly recommend this small travel company for your stay in Kathmandu. Witnessed a cremation at Pashupatinath by the river, not for everyone, but grateful for the experience. Boudhanath more peaceful although very busy streets around it. If you are looking for Buddhist based artwork, bowls or beads, this is a spiritual place to buy them.

Not to miss event
Madhu was punctual. He was congenial and gave us a lot of information about Aarati ritual. He showed us photos of his recent wedding which was interesting.

Rozit was an excellent...
Rozit was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable, personable and seems to truly care about his guests. I really enjoyed my time with Rozit and it felt like hanging out with a local friend. I never felt rushed at the sites and it was a pleasure to get to know him and to get to know Kathmandu through the eyes of a local. I recommend this tour and recommend Rozit as your guide.

The Beauty of Pashupatinath Temple
This is a must do in depth tour that is tailored to you! My guide was compassionate, attentive and knowledgeable and he did everything to make sure I got what I wanted out of this tour. I could never have done this on my own. I learned so much from him. This was absolutely amazing!

When to visit

Nepalis can enter for free, but other nationals need a ticket.
While photography is allowed, be respectful of the fact that many of the people are grieving and attending a funeral.
Be prepared to see open-air cremations. Bodies are wrapped in cloth and placed upon a burning pyre of logs.
Only Hindus are allowed into the main temples, but anyone can enter the broader temple complex.
The Bagmati River is sacred to practicing Hindus, and you will see people bathing in the water. However, this is not recommended, as it’s extremely polluted.
The colorful sadhus (holy men) will ask you to photograph them, but they expect to be paid a few rupees.
