We had the absolute best...

We had the absolute best experience touring Soweto and Johannesburg with Lebo! He went above and beyond to make sure we saw every spot we wanted to visit, while giving us the flexibility to decide what we wanted to do and how much time we wanted to spend at each location. One of the highlights of our tour was how knowledgeable Lebo was. He gave us the most incredible history lessons and really brought South Africa’s history, culture, and the stories behind each place to life. We learned so much, and the experience was so much more meaningful because of him. Beyond being an amazing tour guide, Lebo is genuinely one of the sweetest people we met during our trip. We got to know him on a personal level, shared plenty of laughs, and by the end of the day, he felt more like a friend than a tour guide. We were honestly sad to say goodbye! If you’re visiting Johannesburg or Soweto, we cannot recommend Lebo enough. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with him. You won’t regret it!

Don't sleep on this food tour!

We had a great time with Donet and the foods of several African countries. The flow was good, a mix of driving & walking with history & facts mixed in that expanded beyond just the food. His energy & enthusiasm was just right. Our hotel pickup & communication were seamless. I would recommend packing your own wet wipes/napkins and your own water.

His 20 years of experience really showed, and his exceptional knowledge of the area’s history was impressive. It was a crash course into the complex and difficult history of apartheid. Great experience

The experience was incredible. Peter was a great guide. We managed to see the big give and several other animals. Peter demonstrated a lot of knowledge and experience to locate the animals and position us in the best way for us to get good shots. I highly recommend the tour and the experience.

A great tour that should not be missed

This was a fantastic opportunity to get up close to lions in their natural habitat. There were several prides of lions to visit, and the secure vehicle lets you get right up next to them as they go about their day. In addition, there were opportunities to see lion feeding, cheetah feeding and wild dog feeding. This is a tour not to be missed!

Great guide and tour.

We had a great tour with Thabiso today. He was very knowledgeable and was easy to talk with. I asked a million questions and he was happy to answer them. Great fun and informative too!

We had an amazing tour with our guide Kat! He showed us several areas of the city and is very knowledgeable. He is super friendly and we highly recommend him and this tour company! We especially enjoyed learning more about Nelson Mandela and seeing areas where he lived and worked. A highlight on the tour was Constitution Hill.

A must do in Johannesburg

Had a great half day tour with our guide Brian. He was excellent at explaining bits and pieces on our way through Johannesburg to the different areas we were visiting. The Soweto walking tour was a real eye opener. Visited Nelson Mandela house and Apartheid Musuem which was very interesting but so much to see in the 2 hours allocated to this stop.

Must do tour of Sterkfontein Caves and the Cradle of Humankind museum.

I went on a tour of the Cradle of Humankind and Sterkfontein Caves near Johannesburg with Swangs Safaris. My guide for the day was Katlego. Katlego picked me up perfectly on time at my hotel. Swangs Safari kept me informed where was supposed to come snd when he had reached the hotel pickup point. Katlego is a very polite, smart, young man with the innate skill to connect with people. I wish him all the success in his career. The drive to the Sterkfontein Caves was about an hour but Katlego explained the different neighborhoods and regions we were passing through. The caves were exciting and we learned a lot about the prehistoric site and the fossil digs. Then we went to the Cradle of Humankind museum. It was also very informative. I was not a huge fan of the little boat ride inside. I had a wonderful day and highly recommend Swangs Safaris and my guide, Katlego.

Kruger Safari

Excellent tour of Kruger National Park! Well worth for those that can only spare two days. Our guide and driver were excellent! Be prepared for long days to see flora and fauna of the famous Kruger National Park. There were lots of animal encounters during our visit. Both the evening/night safari and the full day safari were excellent. At the camp we were treated exceptionally well by the hosts.

My first time at a safari...

My first time at a safari and it was a thrilling experience spotting all the different animals in their natural habitat. We saw 3 out of the big 5 - elephant, lion and rhino - and a bunch of others. I'm writing this review after also visiting Chobe National Park and I found that the animals in Pilanesburg tended to be further away in the distance and required some sharp eyes to spot. Appreciated my sharp-eyed guides and fellow travellers who made this a fun experience.
