Great overview of Johannesburg, Soweto, and their connections to SA history
This tour covered the highlights of Johannesburg and Soweto. Our guide Mo interspersed an insightful summary of the history of this area, from colonization to modern day, throughout the tour. The entire family learned so much during the tour. The van was comfortable, and the commentary was educational. All in all, this was a wonderful way to introduce this area and their roles in the complex history of South Africa.

Informative and relaxing tour through Joburg and Soweto.
KG shared a wealth of knowledge with us about South Africa, the Constitutional Court, history of politics related to the places we toured, and the socioeconomic landscape. We enjoyed our time and conversations with KG. Pickup and drop off was smooth. She went above and beyond to return a pair of sunglasses left in the car.

Wonderful
This was an excellent experience and a highlight of my time in South Africa. The Maropeng Museum presents the story of human origins in an engaging and easy-to-follow way, and the Sterkfontein Caves were fascinating to explore.
The guide was knowledgeable, and the tour was well organized from start to finish. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful experience near Johannesburg.

Soweto behind the scenes
Thomas was a wonderful guide and safe driver. He knew all about Soweto and African history. He knew all the best places for pictures and souvenirs. We loved meeting some of the locals. We walked through the streets of a tin house village and visited a local pre school. The people are very friendly.

My first time at a safari...
My first time at a safari and it was a thrilling experience spotting all the different animals in their natural habitat. We saw 3 out of the big 5 - elephant, lion and rhino - and a bunch of others. I'm writing this review after also visiting Chobe National Park and I found that the animals in Pilanesburg tended to be further away in the distance and required some sharp eyes to spot. Appreciated my sharp-eyed guides and fellow travellers who made this a fun experience.

It was a very good tour. ...
It was a very good tour. Thabang was knowledgeable and his detailed knowledge and feel for Soweto shown through in this tour. The only negative was the surprise that I needed to pay extra for airport pickup when I specified this from the beginning of the booking.

Impactful Experience
The Nelson Mandela House was engaging and informative. The Apartheid Museum was a riveting and impactful experience that wrapped guests in a full circle experience of the history of the struggle for freedom and equality for SA Natives. Our tour guide was very helpful and informative, as was the guides at Mandela House and the Apartheid Museum.

Good value and an easy way to see Joburg
This was surprisingly good. Drivers were friendly, buses ran to schedule, and the tracking system worked well. The places the bus visits aren’t always easily accessible so it’s a good option.
Tip: if you want to visit some of the places on the tour it’s worth planning in advance and starting early

Best. Day. Ever.
Our tour with Griffin was incredible! He was so informative and we learned so much. He was just a joy to be around and it was a day we will never forget. His hospitality and care for our experience was top-notch and we could not have been happier with the day we spent with him. This particular day of our vacation will stand out as the best day in South Africa. Many thanks to Griffin and Solly for taking such good care of us!

Everything in a Day!
Do Lilieleaf Farms!! We could have spent 5 hours here. This was a ‘replacement’ for the Apartheid museum (which is closed Monday and Tuesday) but we felt much better. Our driver Nathi was full of information, tailored our tour a bit and answered every question so thoroughly. We saw Mandela’s home, office, sites of apartheid resistance, the constitutional courthouse which was the former prison and several other significant sites. All tours were great and the lunch stop was traditional. A fabulous way to gain a great understanding and feel for what apartheid was and how it was overcome, and the history of Johannesburg.

Great Overview of Johannesburg
Great overview of Johannesburg. This was supposed to be a group tour but the group had only two of us. The guide provided detail information of sites as well as daily life of people living in Joburg.
Unfortunately the Constitution Hill was closed for event on that day. We spent much longer than planned at the Apartheid Museum and the our guide had no problem with that.

Highly recommended !!!
I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! If your schedule does not allow for a visit to the major game parks or a full-day safari, I wholeheartedly suggest this encounter. Let me start by highlighting the punctuality of our guide, Cpho, who greeted us warmly at our accommodations. During our journey to the park, we engaged in a delightful conversation covering a multitude of topics. Cpho took care of our entry requirements and provided us with a brief overview of the park's facilities. After that, we were given a moment to enjoy a drink before it was time to board the safari truck. When the moment arrived, Cpho ensured that our tickets were in order and liaised with the park guides to facilitate a seamless experience. I cannot recommend this vendor and this activity highly enough!
