Great time in Jaipur

Playing with an Elephant
You don't ride an elephant but you feed an elephant,. Our elephant was called Pinky. She was 30 year old circus elephant. We could pet her, paint her, take her for a walk, wah the paint off her and water her. It was the best experience we had in India.Pkay

Great Experience (besides the shops)
This was an amazing experience. I was picked up by my driver very early in the morning and driven to Agra where my guide took me around the Taj Mahal which was an absolutely amazing sight, and after we went to Agra fort which was almost just as impressive. The only part of the tour I didn’t like was that my guide (who I won’t name) took me to these shops in Agra ( marble inlay, rug weaving and jewelry) supposedly to give me a look into the continued artisan traditions of Agra and the Taj Mahal, but once I was there was hounded by very aggressive salespeople who pressured me to buy even when I said I wasn’t interested multiple times. The guide himself never tried to sell me anything but obviously this company/the guide was making some commission from the sales of these shops. In addition, at least at the rug weaving shop I, as a fiber artist, could tell they were lying about the pashmina in the carpets they were weaving. The yarn they showed me which they told me was pashmina cashmere, felt as rough as camel hair. For a $200 trip, you would expect them to not try to hound you for even more money with scams like that. The only reason I am giving this experience 5 stars is because the trip after Agra to Fatehpur Sikri was phenomenal. My guide Akram (different to the one in Agra) took me around the most beautiful, gleaming red sandstone palace up in the hills with amazing views. Akram was amazing, even warning me about people trying to sell me things (different to Agra). When my phone ran out of battery he even brought me to his friend’s shop to charge it for free without trying to sell me anything. A very stand up guy and he was extremely knowledgeable about the site. Fatehpur Sikri was definitely the most worthwhile part of this experience.

Will come back again
Great organisation from day one. I received welcoming WhatApp message weeks before the trip. Any questions I have were replied promptly. Hotels were chosen with care and great facilities in clouding swimming pools. Our driver for all days was very attentive and patient - making sure we have everything we need. Massive thank you for 3 tour guides that went beyond and above to pour the knowledge and experience to our brains leaving us happy and loaded with excellent photos. This service exceeded my expectations.
