Top Horta Adventure Tours in 2026

With us, every tour is truly your own. This tour has no fixed itinerary — it’s a flexible, fully customizable experience built around you. Whether you’re drawn to Faial’s iconic sights or quiet, hidden corners, we’ll shape the day to your interests, pace, and the island’s rhythm. I will offer suggestions and insider spots — but there’s no script. Want to linger longer at a viewpoint, stop for a swim, or take a coastal walk? We’ll make it happen. The route adapts to whatever feels right in the moment. This is a tour for those who don’t want to be rushed — just good company, open roads, and freedom to explore. Count with flexible breaks, visits to iconic landmarks and hidden gems, and stops at interpretation centers. You can even enjoy outdoor-brewed coffee and an optional outdoor lunch with local produce tailored to your preferences. By the end of the day, maybe you won’t feel like a visitor — but like you’ve truly connected with the island. Let’s Rove Around Faial Together!

Our full-day car tour on Faial will take us all around the island in a fun and engaging way. We will visit Caldeira do Faial, Capelinhos Volcano, Fajã da Praia do Norte, as well as a few other places. Our itinerary is always a surprise. Since the tour is private, we have the flexibility to adapt each tour to our clients’ preferences and to the weather conditions. Our Guides love to share our island’s history and culture, and their knowledge about Azores in general. If you’re interested, we are happy to stop for a swim in the ocean during the summer or for a small hike. Our car tour on Faial is an 8 hours tour with traditional lunch included.

The Ten Volcanos Trail leads from the Caldeira of Faial down to the westernmost point of the island in Capelinhos. You will be hiking ten volcanos, walk along the Levadas to arrive at the youngest spot of the Azores. The hike takes 7 to 8 hours and is physically challenging.
