I have been a jeweler for almost six years, I have my signature fine jewelry brand called Azin. I have won awards for artisanal creativity and design as well as participated in jewelry exhibitions. I am part of a collective of women jewelers called Colectivo Soberana. There is no better place to create with silver than Guanajuato, with its mines and its rich past in mining veins.

As a chef, I share recipes of my own authorship, reinterpreting Mexican techniques from a contemporary perspective, using local and seasonal products. The travelers actively participate in the entire process: from mise en place to cooking and plating.

Our classes will be taught by a certified un-Chef, with which they will travel through Mexico with the flavors that we will be tasting and the traditional techniques with which we will be working throughout the class. As we will try some drinks made with a liquor of Mexican origin from different regions of the country. Also during the class the chef instructor will explain the origin and use of the ingredients they cook, as well as part of the history of the dishes made with those ingredients. This is an experience for us to have dinner with friends, one of our main objectives is to meet them and that we can transmit our culture through our traditional food, which is a heritage of humanity.

Now I share my knowledge and the divine cheeses I've found with others. Come learn about the rich history of European influences in Mexican artisan cheese and where to buy, how to serve and pair these cheeses with drinks and condiments and how set up a French inspired cheeseboard. Everything is sourced locally from the artisan cheeses to the herbs, flowers, honey and other ingredients used in the class. Maestra Isis Rodriguez is a world renown and internationally recognized artist with a B.F.A in painting. She has been teaching for over 20 years and has lived in Mexico for 20 years. Voted best art teacher in San Miguel, her art classes are one of the few in San Miguel that blends art with Mexican culture, structured under the spiritual philosophy of "nepantla", a 16th Century Nahua word that means "in the middle of things". Models and reference materials are indigenous to this region and students are given oral art and cultural history lectures, introduction to contemporary Mexican and Latin American modern music while working. Beginners and all levels welcomed. This 2 Day Mexican Art Class explores different mediums, ink, drawing, pastel, watercolor, and oils. All styles from realistic to abstract can be explored.
