The Rock of Cashel is fabled to have been created by St Patrick himself, the Rock predates this and was a seat of high importance in Ireland. Converted to a christian site in medieval times, it is dotted with structures almost 1,000 years old and a visit here is really a wonderful experience. From the Rock, we travel nearby to the medieval Hore Abbey and learn a little more about its development and influence on Irish history throughout the ages.
