Marketed as a whale-watching, wildlife tour, it is in fact simply three ferry trips which can be purchased direct from the same ferry company (Cap Clear Ferries) for £82 instead of the £132 I paid to Viator. To be clear - I paid 60% more for exactly the same experience. No commentary, no guidance, no experts. Viator and the middle-man operator refused to make any refund of the difference. Cynical scam.

I got notice that the tour was cancelled! Then I got the tickets! Viator tours are all around the map - lots of cancellations last minute and some quality guides (had a fab one in London in 2024 and a fab one in Panama that year for birdwatching) but some terrible (also Panama City) and lots of cancellations in Ireland

Hi Maureen yes, unfortunately we had to cancel the cruise because of the storm that came in, which made it unpleasant and unsafe to go out to go to sea. We always want to deliver an amazing experience for our customers. Unfortunately we cant control the weather! Hope to host you again in Ireland soon.

Lovely Experience, but ticket registration foul up

Excellent experience but incorrect tickets were issued which compromised the event. Crew and island opportunities were magnificent, but tickets given for a shorter trip-lighthouse viewing paid for but tickets did not include.

A Can’t Miss Experience!!

Wonderful day-trip out of Baltimore Harbour. Cape Clear Island had everything we needed (hiking opportunities for me and a lovely pub for my husband). The ferry from there to Fastnet was as good as it gets for providing stunning up-close views of one of the most beautiful and impressive lighthouses in the world. This is a can’t miss experience!

Fastnet is iconic. A must see! Benefits were dolphins a whale, seals and all on time. The crew was knowledgeable , took photos for everyone and gave the kids a visit to the bridge. A day well spent!

We arrived an hour early and had coffee and roll at jacobs pub overlooking the ferry dock . Our guide met us right on time at 11 am on the dock. The ferry arrived right on time and took us to Capeclear Island and then to the Fastnet Rock lighthouse . It was money well spent , a great experience.

Excursion sympa par beau temps !

Il y a des défauts de communication dans l'organisation de cette excursion : on est débarqués sur Cape Clear sans possibilité de location de vélo ou de chauffeur pour nous faire faire le tour de l'île (on a fini par en trouver un), et le centre d'informations fermait à l'horaire précis où le bateau arrivait ! Un comble... Pareil pour le tour au phare : on reprend le bateau à Cape Clear, on va au phare, et on repasse par Cape Clear avant de rentrer à Baltimore tout en restant sur le même bateau. Sinon, c'était une super journée ensoleillée, je recommande :) There are communication flaws in the organization of this excursion: we landed on Cape Clear without the possibility of renting a bike or a driver to take us around the island (we finally found one driver), and the information center closed at the exact time the boat arrived! A shame... Same for the tour to the lighthouse: we take the boat back to Cape Clear, we go to the lighthouse, and we go back through Cape Clear before returning to Baltimore while staying on the same boat. Otherwise, it was a great sunny day, I recommend :)

Non ho fatto il tour perché non previsto nella giornata in cui ho prenotato con largo anticipo. La stessa mattina il tour operator mi ha confermato il tutto come se nulla fosse. Mi sono dovuto accontentare di una semplice traversata per non perdere l’intera giornata. A distanza di giorni non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta da parte di Viator. Servizio clienti per ora inesistente.
