A great craic and full belly!

Gina_W, Apr 2026
What a great craic we had with Gráinne! We ended up being the only ones on the tour and it felt like we explored Cork with an old friend. We ate and ate and ate… and drank and chatted and learned about the city. It’s a day we’ll never forget. Thanks again, Gráinne!

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Hello Gina, thank you for your wonderful review. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the tour and that Grainne took great care of you! Best regards, Frances

The best walking food tour ever!

Haley_C, Mar 2026
Our walking food tour with Celia was absolutely the highlight of our trip. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the local food and people. Celia took us to some fantastic pubs and through the English market. More than samples too - we left the tour absolutely stuffed after all the delicious food and drinks. Celia also gave us some great recommendations for more shopping and visiting around Cork. It was an unforgettable day!

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Excellent tour and guide

Sharon_P, Nov 2025
I had an absolutely fantastic experience on this tour in Cork! Every stop offered something delicious, and I love getting to try such a great variety of local flavors. Our God Kate was exceptional - so knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely fun to talk to. She shared so many interesting stories and insights that really brought the city to life. The whole day felt less like a tour and more like spending time with friends, enjoying great food and great company. I would highly recommend this experience!

Culinary capital of Ireland confirmed!

Amazing Food Tour in Cork

ThomasMangan, Oct 2025
Kate was an amazing guide who knew an amazing amount about the local food scene and local history. Her walk through of the English Market and the selection of foods we got to sample was outstanding! Very grateful for the tour and would recommend to others.

Great Cork Food guide

Hans_U, Oct 2025
Our guide Kate did a wonderful job conducting our tour. She was from the area and knew so much about the history and had personal stories which were related to the tour. All the food stops we made were delicious as well. We've done these tours before & this was the best so far, mainly due to Kate.

Just do it! Hope Amanda is your guide!

Highly Recommend.

Leslie_C, Sep 2025
This was one of our favorite tours of our entire trip! Frances and her associate were just delightful people that anyone would want to spend an afternoon with. The knowledge and passion they both had for Cork and their expertise about the English Market was phenomenal. Their ability to explain the historical significance of first, the Black Shawl women and the surround areas, and second, the generational ownership of the individual vendor stalls was very impactful to us. My ancestors are from Cork so visiting it with someone so knowledgeable was important. The vendors whose wares we sampled were a perfect choice to showcase quintessential Irish cuisine. (The meat pies were fabulous). The commentary they both added to our tour was significant, detailed, and interesting. We also appreciated that we were given time at each booth to shop if we saw something we wanted to explore further. We ended our tour in a lovely bar when we could drink a beer with them both. By the time we parted ways, both my husband and I felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends. We would definitely take this tour again not only to see the market again, but to get to visit with the two of them. They were fun and engaging and clearly enjoyed what they were doing.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Hello Leslie, It was lovely to hear from you and even better to read this wonderful review. Thank you so much, but it was our pleasure having you on the tour. Come back to see us for another tour in Ireland or Bordeaux! Frances

A Taste of Cork with an Amazing Guide!

Elena_V, Sep 2025
We had the absolute best time on this food, beer, and Irish coffee tour. Our guide, Amanda, was truly the star of the show. She was incredibly energetic, fun, and had such an upbeat personality that made the whole experience fantastic. She didn't just walk us through the city; she brought it to life with interesting historical tidbits and pointed out local architecture, which gave us a deeper appreciation for Cork. The food selection on the tour was top-notch. We got to sample a wonderful variety of local delicacies, including delicious meats, savory pies, artisanal cheeses, fresh seafood, and decadent chocolates. And of course, the beer and Irish coffee were a perfect addition. The highlight of the entire tour, however, was without a doubt Amanda's incredible singing. It was an unexpected and delightful surprise that elevated the tour from great to truly unforgettable. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cork, and especially for anyone who wants to experience the city's food scene with a truly amazing guide.

Best way to get to know Cork

Stephen_C, Sep 2025
Exceeded expectations. Kerry (sp?), our guide, was exceptional. History tour combined with tasting first rate food. Every stop was perfectly orchestrated with the vendors. We tasted local sausages, Irish coffee, and from the English market -sliced meats, bread, meat pies, chocolate, and fresh seafood including oysters, prawns, smoked mackerel, etc. All so delicious and in perfect quantities! We ended the tour with a beer tasting and we were able to linger a little longer with the people we met on the tour who were all equally outstanding. Highly recommend this tour (especially with Kerry). She was the best! A talented and fantastic representative of Cork. She made the day very memorable.

Engaging, educational and tasty.

Nicole_R, Aug 2025
Great experience! Meeting point was convenient. Tour guide Karri was very knowledgeable and engaging. Food was tasty. Adult beverages included for those over 18. We learned a lot of history! We attended at lunch time. Some members of our party were not entirely full at the end, but others were full. One participant with food allergies was able to eat substitute items whenever there was an allergen present in the primary food offerings. Three hours on foot with just a little time spent sitting at the middle.

A Great Way to Learn about Cork Culture and Food

Mary_E, Aug 2025
Carrie provided a historical background as part of this tour which was an additional bonus. We loved all the places we went for tastings, especially the markets and historical bars. The Bemish Beef Pies were amazing. A great experience overall and Carrie was a great tour guide who made sure we all felt included in the experience.

Come hungry, leave full!

June_R, Aug 2025
Celia was an absolute gem. This was not only the best food tour we have ever been on, it was the best tour period. We had such a good time and were very well fed with absolutely incredible food. I'll be thinking about that beef and Beamish pie for weeks to come. Beyond the food, this is a great way to see a decent amount of Cork and get some good local history with a personal perspective. Can't recommend highly enough.

Foodie favorite

Kelly was fabulous & knowledgeable. The food choices were delicious. We were stuffed and had a lovely time touring Cork.

History, food, sites, songs, humor

Sarah_K, Jul 2025
Amanda was amazing! Bright and sassy personality and she made this tour a great way to discover such a great city in its history and food. The food was simple, but filling. All locally sourced, from sausages and potatoes to oysters and shrimp, bread, cheese, and meat pie. Two alcoholic drinks including an Irish coffee and a Murphy’s stout of options for those who don’t drink alcohol. Amanda had stories and SONGS. She sang and danced, even got my 16-year-old son to dance. Great cozy pubs, exploration of the English Market, and introductions to the tucked away and main areas of the city. Take time at the end to go back to the English Market and get things you want and come hungry and ready to walk. You’ll get your fill and your steps in for the day. (And bring water. There are a few restroom stops along the way, but don’t be shy to ask)

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Thank you Sarah for such an uplifting review! It made my day and I am sure Amanda will love it too. Come back soon as we have plenty of other tours to try. Frances
