What are people saying about Christchurch

Beautiful City
The tram actually goes farther around the city centre than was expected. It’s a good idea to do the tram in the beginning of your holidays in Christchurch so you don’t miss more of what this beautiful city has to offer. Also, the tram operators (we had 2 because of shift change) had such great characters. They were very funny. Very entertaining of their stories about the different sites the city has to offer. You cannot visit Christchurch without riding the tram.

Awesome trip
It was 1 of the best tours i have been on. The driver,Logan, was fantastic. He was a very good driver and a knowledgeable one. He gave the group plenty of stops for photos and plenty of time. One good thing,it was only a small group, and the food/lunch supplied, plus snacks, was wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour as well as cheeky kiwi. They are a very good tour operator

A Great Relaxed Day
I had a wonderful time on this tour! It was a very small tour group given it’s the off season, but we had a great time in Akaroa! The town is quaint and quite pretty - lunch was good, too. The cruise was wonderful - we saw seals and a few of the dolphins! It was so cool! We had a really great time and lucked out with the weather.

Anuj was our tour guide...
Anuj was our tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. Very informative and knowledgeable, made the whole experience very smooth and enjoyable. Always looking out for us and took great care of the whole group with the snacks that helped a lot along the way. This itinerary was great to explore beautiful landmarks as a solo traveller. I would highly recommend this trip as well as Anuj if you’re lucky enough to get him.

Christchurch day trips are a great way to explore the dramatic coastlines and alpine landscapes that define New Zealand. From hiking trips out to the Hooker Valley Track at the base of Aoraki (Mount Cook) to whale-watching on the coast of Kaikoura, there’s no shortage of outdoor adventures on Christchurch’s doorstep. Tolkien fans can even visit locations from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. With so many scenic spots just a short drive away, Christchurch is an ideal home base for discovering the best of Aotearoa’s South Island.
