We had an amazing day learning about Cape Town and seeing the sights with our guide. He even took us to a great lunch spot.

A very good way to see...
A very good way to see many of the prime sights in and around Cape Town if you have limited time - the only downside being that naturally quite a lot of travelling between the sites and locations, is required. Our guide and driver, Ray, was very knowledgeable and informative throughout the trip and made our day interesting. He also took us to an excellent place for a quick bite at lunchtime and ended the tour at a fascinating and very long established spice shop, Atlas, which was unexpected.

Cape Town
Table Mountain and Cableway on a sunny day, Cape Town.
  • Table Mountain is a must-see for all first-time visitors to Cape Town (South Africa).

  • Without skip-the-line access, be prepared to wait in line for as long as an hour for a cableway ticket in peak season (December to April) for a ride to the top of the mountain.

  • Note that the cableway doesn’t operate in strong wind.

  • Take something warm to wear, as it’s significantly chillier on the mountain than in Cape Town.

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes, especially if you plan to use the trail network at the top of the mountain.

  • The cableway is accessible to wheelchair users, as are some areas atop the mountain.
