Day Trips from Blue Mountains to Sydney

Experience the best of the Blue Mountains with a private guide on this full-day tour. Highlights include Wentworth Falls, Scenic World cableway, Leura's scenic drive, and the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point. Customize your trip with stops at Katoomba Falls, Boar’s Head, and Cahill’s Lookouts for a personalized adventure.

Guided by a passionate hiker and photographer who has spent a lifetime in the Blue Mountains, this small-group day tour from Sydney goes where the tour buses don't. In a group of no more than 10, walk into the bush and find wild kangaroos grazing in Megalong Valley, then take real trails to lookouts most tours never reach. Want to push further on a longer, steeper stretch? You can. Want the shorter, easier path to the same view? You can do that too, and the group meets back up on the other side. Lunch is a proper Aussie pie with salad from Mountain High Pies, an award-winning Blue Mountains bakery, with around 20 varieties including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. As dusk falls at Echo Point, enjoy a twilight spread of Shiraz, Brie and Danish Blue cheese, crackers, hummus and Australian sweets while Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos dive off the escarpment to roost. Included, not an upsell. Roughly 10 hours door to door, this is a tour for those seeking some soft adventure in nature.

Get out of Sydney, and explore the amazing Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a private guide. Explore iconic sites like Katoomba Falls, Leura, and Wentworth Falls, and marvel at natural wonders including the stunning Three Sisters at Echo Point. Encounter Australian wildlife like koalas and kangaroos at Sydney Zoo or Featherdale Wildlife Park, and delve into Aboriginal culture with a boomerang throw. Ppt for an exhilarating ride on the world's steepest Railway at Scenic World and return to Sydney by river cruise.

Enjoy a full day out exploring both the highlights of the Blue Mountains, the Featherdale Wildlife sanctuary, and finishing with a river cruise ending at the Opera House. Some of the sights you’ll see in the Blue Mountains are the Grand Canyon, The 3 Sisters, Echo Point, and Kootomba Falls (plus more). You’ll see koalas and kangaroos at the sanctuary, and the iconic boat ride to finish the day.
