The guide was great, start was about an hour after we were told to meet up. Procedings were swift and the path quite clear communicated. Time til lunch was spent whale watching and after lunch the tour was moved to the snorkeling. 2 hours of that on the lovely volcano caldera and we got picked up for our return to PD.

This was an absolutely fabulous tour by Pico de Adventure. we departed in a Zodiac boat with 22 other people - felt safe the entire time. With our captain and tour guide we were able to spot 3 types of dolphins and sperm whales. After a nice lunch, we took the ferry to go snorkeling at the islet which was amazing! There were so many different types of fish to see. Would definitely recommend this.

Tour was amazing ! We were able to see a sperm whale in our journey. Inlet was also amazing. You have the opportunity to do some snorkeling and see many fish that is native to the Azores that you won’t see anywhere else. @exploration_wonders approved !

Adrenaline fuelled journey out to see the whales was fun. Guide was very informed and thoughtful. Lunch was great. Islet beautiful but due to weather clarity in the water was poor. Well organised full day.

We have been whale & dolphins seeing before but not like this! We saw sperm whales & so many dolphins. They swam so close to the boat too. Then we stopped to grab a picnic lunch due to the restaurant being closed but I believe usually stop for lunch at a restaurant. We brought our picnic lunches to the inlet island just off the coast which is a MUST SEE if you are going to the azores. It’s a natural pool with so many fish to snorkel with! Such a unique stop & of course breath taking views. IMPORTANT: bring a towel and suncreen for the inlet. They will give you a rain jacket and life jacket to the boat. And bring a little bag or backpack for your belongings. There is parking right after the marina, and it’s affordable. Only cost us 10 euros for the whole time we were gone from 8:00am-5:00pm. The meet up in down in the marina where the boats are docked. Look for a yellow sign !

Upon arrival, we noticed that the 'big' boat (from the pictures) was not available. Only Zodiac boats, but the company had a big Zodiac that seats more than 24 persons. It was an amazing tour, we saw two pairs of Sperm whale, two big groups of dolphins (two different species) and as the crown on the cake a big Sei whale. After this great adventure we went for a nice lunch in town. The snorkeling afternoon was also fantastic, what a beautiful underwater world. Almost all Caribbean colored fish but less in species. The way back was an adventure, due to the weather change, large waves made it an quit wet experience, but the crew did their utmost to keep everybody comfortable. Best day of our 3 island visiting holiday in 2023.

We had a wonderful tour, great tour guides, and it was a fantastic day! I would highly recommend this tour. We were in great hands all day and it was a lot of fun! We were lucky enough to see a sperm whale swimming along, and then he took a dive, so we got to see his tail. Loved that! Lunch was very good. We also loved swimming at Villa do Franco. That was insanely cool! I was a little disappointed to be on the boat that was not working well. It was running far too low to the water and causing us to take on huge amounts of waves. A boat was brought to us for us to switch into. At one point they were going to try to have a switch boats in the middle of the ocean which was not a good idea! I don’t think anyone in the boat felt comfortable about that. I was really glad when they decided the ocean was too rough and we went into a harbor to switch boats. Overall, we had a great day! Thank you for a great experience! I really enjoyed the ride waves & all!
