The only private bike tour in Juneau! Enjoy the intimacy of just your family and friends on a bike ride a few miles from the Mendenhall Glacier. Travel briefly through a quiet residential neighborhood to the first glacier lookout, before riding along a flat nature trail with some gravelly spots (and more great views of the glacier). Bike ride lasts 1-1.5 hours, with amazing photo opportunities. After the leisurely ride, at your pace, we do some sightseeing, including an optional visit to the DIPAC salmon hatchery, in a luxury Toyota hybrid SUV. Tour guide is a local family man, who has lived in Juneau since 2016. * More people in your group means more savings per person * Guaranteed to return you to your ship before its departure (if you have any concerns, please call me to discuss after booking).

Bikes, Glacier Views, and Microbrews begins with a 20 minute van ride out of historic downtown Juneau out to the Mendenhall Valley, where you'll be outfitted with bikes, helmets, and rain gear if necessary. The ride starts at the eastern side of the Mendenhall Glacier, with a 4 mile ride over to the western shore of Mendenhall Lake. Here, you'll enjoy a brief break and scenic view of the lake. Next, you'll hop back on the bikes and ride 4 miles back to the eastern side of the glacier, riding through two beautiful trails in the Tongass National Forest. After the ride, your guide will walk you to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, where you will have 45 minutes of independent exploration. View the glacier, enjoy the trails, and learn about the history of the area. Upon returning to the van, you will take a short drive to Forbidden Peak Brewery and taste a custom flight of local beers and enjoy views of Auke Bay. Your guide will then drive you back downtown at the end of the tour.

Winter Fat Biking Anchorage Tour

This is a combined local Anchorage history and ebike tour. The ebikes ensure a pleasant and relaxing ride covering a large swath of Anchorage city. You will be guided on a tour through Anchorage's history, from pre-colonization through the present era. Along the "way" we'll cover Anchorage's history as a tent city labor camp to the aviation hub to the military buildup in World War II and through the oil-boom of the 1980s. The bike tour will mostly be along Anchorage's scenic greenbelt trails, including the Coastal Trail. Our route also takes us through the Campbell Creek and Chester Creek bike paths, were moose sightings are common. Belugas and bear have also been sighted. All in all it's a fabulous way to spend a half-day in Anchorage, getting to know the city's history, enjoying a near-effortless ebike ride, and seeing the surrounding mountains and (with luck) seeing wildlife.

eBike History Tour of Anchorage

Anchorage has one of the best urban trail systems in the United States, with hundreds of miles of paved and multi-use trails connecting our city. Our three main multi-use trails—the Chester Creek Trail, the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, and the Campbell Creek Trail—can be connected to form a 30-mile bike loop, an almost-complete urban greenway that is, when viewed on a map, in the shape of a moose! You will be off the beaten path, spending the day like a local with a local! This urban greenbelt has ample opportunities to spot wildlife like moose, black bears, bald eagles, and occasionally even a beluga whale! If you love to bike, there is no better way to experience Anchorage than by joining us to bike the "Moose Loop" (the route makes the outline of a moose head on a map).
