What are people saying about Spinalonga

Interesting tour , but wished for a bit more time at stops.
A good tour but have some recommendations. Guide gave tour in English and French but was hard to understand her English, needed to slow rate of speech and articulate more clearly. Directions were not always clear and some had directions confused. Had 1.5 hours at first 2 stops, not enough time to fully benefit from either stop. Spinalonga Island was outstanding, Enjoyed the day but could improve your with some changes.

Excellent and very informative
The trip to Spinalonga and Elounda was excellent. Our guide, Cristina was great. She spoke excellent English and kept us informed every step of the way.
The bbq on the boat was lovely and the ambiance was lovely.

Very enjoyable and reasonably priced 1/2 day trip. The boat was clean and plenty of options in terms of seating. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Easy to find the boat to...
Easy to find the boat to board. Swim was pleasant and interesting guide on the island and time to explore. Only watch out that the tickets to the site are extra which wasn’t immediately obvious on booking. Also boat only takes cash so if you want a drink on board remember to bring some along.

What an incredible way to learn more about Crete and Spinalonga on the water! We loved our time on and off the boat. Staff was kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

This was a fun and...
This was a fun and informative day. Learning about Spinalonga’s history was fascinating, and walking the island and port were the true highlights. Lunch was okay, the bay stop felt short, and the beach was crowded, but the port visit offered ample time and beautiful scenery.

Excellent day out
The day trip was excellent, pick up on time, coach down to Elounda then the boat trip to Spinalonga. Back to the coach and a visit to an Olive factory which was very interesting, followed by some free time in Agios Nikolas. then the coach back to the pick up pint. It was a long day but well worth the money and would totally recommend.

Look no further - perfect Elounda trip ❤️
Absolutely fabulous. Perfect amount of time to explore the sea, swim and tour Spinalonga.
The boat is large and spacious, the crew super friendly and food delicious!! Prices on boat not too expensive either. Met all our expectations and more. Thanks team!

Good tour - take swimwear!!
TAKE SWIMWEAR!
Great tour, plenty of time at each stop to see everything. There was also a swim stop on the boat which was not detailed in the description so unfortunately we were not able to go swimming as we did not take any swimming items.

Great way to spend a day
A great day out. Enjoyed the whole trip including the drives between stop off points. Good chance to see a bit more of Crete. Lunch was good. Our guide, George was great and it was lovely to be in a small group, especially for the boat trip to Spinalonga.

When to visit

Spinalonga is for day-trippers only: There are beaches for taking a dip and a small snack bar on the island, but no accommodations.
Don’t forget a hat, sunblock, and plenty of water to stave off Crete’s summer heat.
Tours do not include the entrance fee for the Spinalonga archaeological site and fortress.
The fortress and archaeological site have stairs and uneven ground, and are not suitable for wheelchair users.
Older children enjoy touring the abandoned fortress, but infants must be carried as the site is difficult to visit with a stroller.
