Working with Nicolas at Zzuum was fantastic! He was so flexible, allow for us to change our tour to a totally different time slot and day. I would have never learned so much about Zadar had I not rode with Anti, who was our local guide who took us on a 25km ride outside of Old Town and the walls to see Sphinx of Zadar (only connection to Egypt in that town), highest point in the city to overlook Old Town, to a lovely local bar to relax. I recommend this trip hands down if you want to see a big part of the city. What could be better than cycling along the shores of the city with one of Croatia's National Team coaches?

Zadar Cycling Tour

As an avid cyclist along with my wife who is an occasional cyclist, this was a perfect ride for both the scenery and the exercise. Mario was a great tour guide!

Mostly pleasant bike ride

While our guide, Alex, was very friendly, there was little of note to see on this tour. With the exception of the ride up a long hill (2 members of our group had to walk their bike) to a look out point that was used as a trash dump by locals, this was really just a pleasant bike ride.

The best way to see Zadar

The best way to explore the real Zadar. Don't expect to see the Island (tourist side), you get to see the real side of Zadar, travelling approx 20kms on bike and learning about the history. Ante was an excellent guide. A slight hill tested our fitness, but boy, what a view from the top. Definitely worthwhile.

Great day in Zadar

Got a private tour as it was only two of us. Really enjoyed it. It is a leisurely pace, but given the distance covered, heat and the one long climb, one must be in decent physical shape. Some cycling experience would help.

We anticipated this would be a small group bike tour of the old town, but learned that bikes aren't actually allowed in old town. Instead, we biked all around the outside of the town for various views and history from our guide who was very nice. Alfred Hitchcock said that the Zadar sunset is the best in the world and we have to agree!

This was an excellent trip! We got a sense of the whole city as we biked around the peninsula! Our guide, Luka, explained the history and many of the historic sites in the town throughout the tour. We biked past the harbors and beaches and up the mountain which was a very small incline to get a beautiful view of the city! Great way to see the city! We were on a cruise ship so we had time restraints and had to do the10 AM tour, but apparently the 5pm trip includes amazing sunset views! Highly recommend this tour!
