Itinerary

Your private tour begins with a morning hotel pickup. The day's itinerary is up to you, but we suggest starting at the UNESCO-listed Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum (entrance fee included).

Arrive at the landmark, which was only excavated in 1970 after being discovered by local farmers. Gaze into six pits, all of which are full of life-sized figures representing warriors, horses, acrobats, and other professions.

From there, head back into central Xian to tick off top attractions of your choice, such as Xian City Wall (Chengqiang), the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta), the Shaanxi History Museum, and the Muslim Quarter.

For maximum flexibility, admission to the attractions (other than Terracotta Warriors) and lunch are at your own expense. That means you pay only for the stuff you want to do.

Your tour concludes with hotel drop-off.

You can also choose a ticket-only option to the Terracotta Warriors.

Excellent day with our tour guide Nancy. She was well informed of the areas we visited and pleasant to be around. She suggested a small local resident near the Terra Cotta soldiers for a lunch of dumplings where we were the only Westerners. Dinner was 8 and delicious.
