Phil was a fabulous tour guide. We visited 3 different establishments and were extremely impressed with the selections. Phil worked with us to help in tailoring our selections to meet our preferences. The van was very comfortable and the drive from Wellington to Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt was very pleasant. We enjoyed our time together and would highly recommend this tour.

Had a wonderful tour. We visited 3 breweries and tried a variety of great (some not so, but still) beers. Loved that there were options for 3 different palates (1 loved porters, another sout, and a 3rd lagers). Highly recommend kereru for a visit, very passionate about the process and a wonderful porter. Our guide Phil was helpful and informative about the breweries and New Zealand.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this brewery tour!! We checked out most of the Wellington breweries on our own, but don’t drive in other countries, and this tour brought us away from Wellington to Lower and Upper Hutte. All 4 were breweries were great and considering how many beers we got to try, and transport costs to each place, we felt this package was pretty good value and would do it again with the company for sure!! The guide keeps you on schedule and provides great recommendations at each stop based on your preferences.

OMG - what a great tour! Aaron was so interesting ~ not just about beer but the things he explained to us about Wellington and the surrounding areas were things we would never had known .... and the beer!!! We went to 4 different breweries, each one different then the other ~ and each one great! If you are into craft beer - this is a must do tour while in Wellington!

Great craft beer tour wellington region

Tour was for birthday surprise but would repeat the tour with mates any time. Phil, driver/owner was interactive and got to understand my preference for craft beer styles and where to visit based on what my likes were. Although the tour had a couple of prebooked tasting the others were flexible based on likes. We got to taste a wide range of craft beers, a flight(4 beers tasting) selected at each brewery. With some having over 20 beers on tap. Was a great day.

Great tour of Micro Brewerys

Listed pickup spot was easy to get to, across the street from the 2nd "free shuttle bus" stop. The driver tried to call us, we didn't have a phone plan, to arrange pickup at the ship to save us doing the shuttle. We had a great time and when we returned to the ship and spoke of it there were a number of people that were envious of us. There were just two of us on the tour (my wife and myself) and the tour guide, Philip. Philip did not skimp on the tour because of the low turnout. We saw 4 breweries, had numerous samples at two of them and a 4 and a 6 "flight" of larger samples at two others. Along the way Philip talked of Wellington and New Zealand, being such a small group we also were able to talk about more personal things such as schooling, sports etc Highlight was Kereru Brewery. Highly recommend, too often Wine tours are seen and something like this is overlooked.

The Wellington craft beer tour was excellent. Our guide was Tom and we had an incredible time with him. By the end of the tour he wasn’t just our guide, but a friend! He took us to some amazing breweries and shared some great info on the surrounding area. We were a bit slow on our tour (really enjoyed the first brewery) and Tom made sure we still got plenty of time at all the scheduled stops! Would not have been able to see all of the breweries in such a condensed time without this tour and we were glad to have gotten out of downtown Wellington for a bit too. Deserves higher than five stars!
