Lots of interesting things to do. Met award winning wine makers, cheese crafters, creative chocolate concocters, olive oil growers, and enjoy wonderful tastes of fresh cooked foods for lunch. Take the 'guess the chocolate' test...it's fun! Full day. Personalized service. Small group. Wonderful 😊

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thanks very much for the wonderful feedback. I loved having you both onboard for the day and it was great to show you around our wonderful Wairarapa region!

Great day out with Phil

Debra_C, Oct 2024
What a fabulous day out. We saw so much and ate yummy food and tasted lovely wines. Phil was so informative about the area. The blind tasting of the different chocolate was fun.

Response from Host, Nov 2024

Thanks Debra! It was very much my pleasure to host. Great to hear the day was so enjoyable.

A lovely day!

Perfect blend of different experiences in a small group…great local cheese, wine, and chocolate. A wonderful day learning about growing grapes and olives.

Response from Host, Mar 2024

Thanks Enid. It was my pleasure to host you both for the day.

Don't let a little rain stop you!

Lorna_N, Apr 2023
Phil does an incredible job of spotlighting small businesses in small communities that make incredible products that deserve wide attention. We are so grateful that we didn't let the rain deter us from taking the tour, as it was a delight. Meeting the individual staff at each location--sometimes even the owners--made it very special, and the offerings were delicious. Well worth the time and the money.

Response from Host, Apr 2023

Thanks Lorna. It was my pleasure hosting you both for the day and glad I was able to introduce you to some of the wonderful foodie folks of the region!

Great experience with nice food

Amazing food quality for the tastings. The shop owners are friendly. Simon, the driver is also nice and knowledgeable.

Response from Host, Apr 2023

Thanks for the feedback. Great to hear you loved the whole foodie day and Simon's amazing local knowledge!

A pleasant experience spoiled by …

Claire_D, Mar 2023
The visit to the olive grove was lovely, very informative and interesting and the host, Helen, was very nice. The lunch at the vineyard was pleasant but spoiled by the tour guide who sat down with us uninvited and spent the whole time banging on about himself, as per the rest of the tour. The tour itself was interesting.

Response from Host, Mar 2023

I'm sorry to hear the day was not up to scratch, Claire. That's a real shame. I've passed on your feedback to the driver guide in question and we will certainly look to improve on those areas highlighted. The tour itself should always be the star alongside our local experts at each location sharing their expertise and we will make sure that is the case going forward. We do always sit with our guests for lunch at Moy Hall as lunch is built in for the driver guides as well. So that's not an issue. I'm glad to hear the tour itself was enjoyable!

A taste of Martinborough

Response from Host, Feb 2023

My favourite part about wellington!

frank_m, Feb 2020
This was such a great tour! Covered a little of everything for everyone of us! The guide was so nice, it was a nice intimate group so it felt personal and more welcoming then a larger one. We didn't feel out of place because we didn't know a lot about wine. The lovely lady at the winery we visited was so friendly and nice explained things with out overwhelming us with wine facts/rules/terms etc. Didn't make my wife feel bad when she only had one sip at the end and screwed her face up (she isn't really a drinker and dosent lIke any wine) the lady was happy we all experienced and tried it. never made any of us feel bad for being mildly clueless (we usualy drunk what we drunk, never branching out, or knowing anything other then we like that one etc) Loved and learned so much at the olive oil farm. Omg talk about passionate! Enjoyed tasting and learning some things I will be taking home and use! Everyone met and spoken with on the tour were amazing! It was my favourite thing about wellington! Deffently recommend covers a little of everything for all.
