Great and complete tour. It’s a full day of different activities. We visited a cheese and chocolate tasting provider. Had a great lunch at a beautiful winery. Amazing dinner watching the sunset. Beautiful views were taken in at the lighthouse. Unbelievable coast views. But, my favorite was the fur seal colony.

Our experience with John was really good. He grew up in Wellington so knows his city very well. He took us everywhere that was enjoyable for us. He gave us a lot of information but was never tedious. We had lots of fun with a terrific guide!

The moment we stepped of the boat we knew it was going to be a wonderful day. Our tour guide Amile was standing there with a visible sign. Aaron picked us up exactly when we planned at the cruise port in a very clean minivan. There were three couples and we were all very comfortable. He went out of his way to make sure that we did everything that we wanted to see. He spent a lot of time explaining everything about Wellington. He is very knowledgeable and informative. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. Aaron is one of the best tour guides we have ever used.

We had a wonderful time with Aaron our driver. He took us around Wellington like a local and a tourist. We went to places we would never have if we had decided to do the trip on our own. My husband and I had never tried the kiwi pies. He took us to a bakery where we had our first kiwi pies. Delicious thank you and for making the day trip a most beautiful unforgettable one

Amazing day and great guide

We had an amazing day! We toured all around the city, saw it from every point of view. Our tour guide (John) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to tell stories from someone who was born and raised in the city and share the experience of a changing and growing city. How the day went for us: there were 4 of us and we were picked up at the port. We started the day at the museum. John was very flexible, depending on what we wanted to do. He would have allowed for us to go through the exhibition at the museum (it is a cost) but we decided not to since it would take too much time and our time was limited to get back to the ship. We drove around the city where every block he would point out an interesting fact (a building was moved entirely or a building was condemned due to an earthquake or they moved the beach line etc). We went to our first view point atop of a hillside. We made our way around the city visiting beaches and view points. Visited a pie shop (as an American, I asked if it was for dessert, and it is not). We bought lunch there and it was delicious. We went to a beach/nature preserve to eat. Finished the day riding a cable car up to more incredible views. Then went to see the government buildings. The entire day was a wonderful experience. If you're looking to truly learn about a city and see it from every possible point of view, I would highly recommend you book this excursion.
