This private tour ensures visitors their own dedicated driver/guide for the entirety of the experience. This tour captures the best of Wellington, including scenic drives of the bays; a visit to the famous Weta Cave and Workshop; a variety of memorials and monuments; the Parliament buildings; and Old St. Paul’s Cathedral. CRUISE PASSENGERS - Please note the following important information: Pick up Wellington cruise port, Aotea Quay: We will meet you on the Port at the Independent Tour Operators Pick Up Point. Please note the Port has limited shelter so we recommend waiting until the first rush of visitors has gone through. In the case of bad weather, it will also make your disembarkation more pleasant. DO NOT catch the bus to the Wellington i-SITE. Stay at the port. Disembarkation Directions: • When you disembark, please walk past the buses to the Independent Tour Operators Pick Up Point. There will be people to direct you. • Your Kaewa Tours Guide will be there holding a sign with your name on it. • Your Kaewa Tours Guide will be wearing an orange or a yellow high vis’ vest. Wellington Railway Station: Pick-ups are from outside the front entrance on Bunny Street. Note: For cruise ship passengers this tour will operate on a slightly reduced itinerary.

We all enjoyed our day with Tom very much. He had it all planned out and even accommodated our request to visit the WETA workshop. Never felt rushed. Felt we made great use of our time in port. Thanks Tom for a super day.

We had a lovely day with Tom. He was a wealth of information about Wellington and you could tell he truly loves his home city. We were a party of 4 with some having mobility issues and he took every step possible to make the day perfect for all of us.

I cannot say enough good things about this tour in Wellington. Tom greeted us at the port Terminal just as we came off the gangway and was ready for the day. We had 10 stops throughout the day and tickets were purchased, pace of the day was perfect and Tom was the most gracious host. He knew all about the city, told us stories of his tours and even meeting the Prime Minister. We had a lovely lunch at the wonderful cafe beachside. The afternoon was perfect and the views he showed us were spectacular. Throughout the day, he took many photos of us, my aunt/uncle toured with us and then brought us back to the ship with plenty of time. He presented us with a gift and just a few days later, sent us a link with all of our photos attached. This tour was one of the best we have ever had and I would highly recommend using Tom. You will feel as if you have really experienced Wellington!

The entire day of touring with our guide Tom was so delightful. Tom is so knowledgeable about New Zealand and the entire Wellington area. There wasn't one question we asked that he didn't have an answer for. And the best part was that he took all the photos our group ever needed so I could relax and just soak up all the fantastic scenery and energy. And the other best thing that I have never had a tour guide do was send a summary of the entire day’s activities so i had it for my memory book. Absolutely THE BEST guide ever. And the lunch at Scorch Bay-Scorch ORama was the best. And an incredible view of the bay.

To address your concerns/feedback:
1. “Meant to book with group, did not realize”:
All our tours are private excursions.
This is documented on Viator and I emailed you a screen shot off my Viator listing which states we only provide private tours.
2. “The trip was too expensive”:
The pricing was shown on Viator at the time you chose to book your tour therefore you had a choice at time of booking to proceed, or not.
The pricing is reflective that the tour is purely a private tour with a number of additional post tour services such as (a) written commentary of your day out with photos I have taken during your day out and (b) a unique gift as our acknowledgement of choosing to book with us.
If you felt the tour was too expensive you had the right to cancel your tour prior to the tour date. I would have been comfortable in you cancelling on the morning of the tour at no penalty to you.
I trust this adequately covers your specific comments.

Dennis was awesome! Very personable and knowledgeable, also flexible. We went from pillar to post, saw so much, learned so much! Had a great meal somewhere along the way at a local eatery. The owner of the company, Tom, checked in along the way. We highly recommend this company if you love the personal touch. Great job, Kaewa Tours!

Tom was a wonderful tour guide and gave us a very positive and fun experience. He managed to fit so much into our very short time in Wellington. It was truly a great choice to get away from the large and impersonal cruise ship tour groups and do something small-scale with just our 3-person group, and Tom was definitely the right choice for that personal experience.
