The experience was exactly what we wanted it to be. He was able to accommodate our preferences and let us move at our own pace.
He was funny, kind and inspiring. Told stories. He kept kids entertained the whole time..

Mical and Lucas, Thank you for sharing your wonderful family with me. Your children are truly a delight to be with. Please have a safe trip back to Houston and return soon. - Tom

We were able to see so much more with a knowledgeable guide than just trying to do ourselves in a busy city
Response from Host, Dec 2024
Christy,
I'm glad we were able to deliver an impactful Marine-themed day for Felix on your last visit. Best wishes on a safe trip back to Jacksonville. - Tom

We visited DC just prior to 4th July this year. Having already planned to do the major sites by segway and "golf cart" type tours, we scheduled this tour to get more insight into the major sites a little further afield.
Tom did not disappoint. We booked a 4 hour tour and arranged with him prior the sort of things we were interested in seeing more of. Tom recommended Arlington for an extended period and to take in changing of the guard and detail/other memorials, Pentagon 911 memorial and via the embassy row to the Washington Cathedral (as we requested).
We were very impressed in his detailed knowledge of all aspects of these sites and he made it very interesting for all of us - so much so that the time flew by and since we were over that way we asked him to drop us off in Georgetown. He even made recommendations for our lunch there too.
Getting Tom's perspective of the military, service and general history was very informative to complement the experience where other tours simply regurgitate effectively from a guide book.
If you are in DC for a city break don't hesitate to arrange one of Toms tours.

Bob, Thank you for sharing your last morning in Washington with me. The four of us were kindred spirits and therefore, it was very easy for me to share some of the best experiences in the city. I’m glad I was able to add value to your holiday. Please reach out again on your next trip across the pond. Tom

Not being wheelchair accessible after full communication. The Tour Guide was knowledgable and knew his history.

Thank you for allowing me to customize our journey to three eclectic attractions that I knew Adrian would enjoy. Let's reconnect on a future trip to DC. Always more to experience here. - Tom

Tom helped us plan a fun day of interest to our group and had great suggestions. He was so patient answering our grandsons many questions.
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Janice and Bob, Thank you for sharing your three grandsons with me. Our experience reminded me of when my grandparents brought me to DC, fir the first time, at the same age, many years ago. I hope to see you on a return trip. Tom

Excellent service and Tom was very knowledgeable. At Arlington national cemetery my son asked about the Harlem hell fighter unit and Tom’s face lit up and knew exactly where to go and relevant information. Also took us on a great tour of Mt. Vernon and infused multiple civic lessons for my boys throughout the day. Highly recommend

Courtney, Thank you for sharing your twin boys with me on a wonderful day on the Virginia side of the river. I'm so glad that we were able to experience Arlington Cemetery and Mount Vernon together and am glad that you enjoyed the day. Let's reconnect the next time you are planning a trip here. Best wishes. - Tom

Great Falls on the Potomac has been the highlight of our trip It’s the first time I have been there since 1942 when I was very young and also visited the torpedo factory where my dad worked during WW II. TOM’s knowledge of everything was very impressive . A great guide
Response from Host, Oct 2021
Larry and Sandy,
Thank you for the kind review. I had not ever been to Great Falls with a client so that attraction was a treat for me as well. We were fortunate that there was that much water over the falls given the season. The torpedo factory is one of my favorite hidden gems and I’m glad to have finally found a client who remembers its operations during the war. I’m glad to have spent the afternoon with you both. Tom

Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Made our trip to DC memorable. Helped find parking close to monuments so we did not have to walk far.
Response from Host, Jul 2021
Tonia, Thank you again for sharing your family with me during your trip to DC. We certainly got to see a lot during our day. Send me your email address so that I can share the video of your ‘interview’ of Dr Hayden at the Library if Congress. Tom

Having not been to Washington DC for many years we decided to book a private tour to make the most of our limited time in this great city. Booking Tom and his amazing tour was the best thing we could have done. Tom picked us up at our hotel and took us on a day long tour of everything we wanted to see and more. His knowledge of the history of each memorial on The Mall and the area was just outstanding. He made each stop come to life. So much to see and too little time. Thanks Tom for a wonderful tour and all your kindness.

Tom was so knowledgeable, helpful, and quick in seizing opportunities to provide additional unforgettable experiences. Our 94 year old WWII Iwo Jima survivor friend with us was treated royally and respectfully. Evening tour of Arlington Cemetery and monuments including an inspiring military band parade and marine rifle precision drill performance. Amazing. Tom felt like a dear and respected friend by night’s end.

Our guide, Tom Schultz, was a navy veteran with 20 years of active service. As such, he could answer all of the questions my son had with regards to military tradition, history and up-to-date explanation on military technology. As can be imagined, my son was thrilled, excited and focused throughout five hour tour - which would not have been the case had we visited the sites on our own. We visited Marine Corps memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Navy Yard and Navy Museum. At Arlington we had a chance to watch changing of guards, which was quite impressive and even encountered a full honor funeral. Navy museum was small but very informative, exhibits encompassing almost all of the wars US navy has fought to date. We had an opportunity to eat with servicemen and visit official uniform shop. It was certainly very authentic and memorable tour. Would highly recommend it to families with boys or military history buffs.
