Itinerary
After a Washington DC hotel pickup, the tour begins at the Marine Corps War Memorial, aka the Iwo Jima Memorial, a world-famous national monument and one of the most moving memorials in DC. The statue depicts the six soldiers who raised of the second American flag at Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945.
Then at the Marine Barracks, also known as ‘8th & I,’ roam the grounds of the oldest active post in the Marine Corps. The Barracks was founded by President Thomas Jefferson and Lieutenant Colonel William Ward Burrows, the second commandant of the Marine Corps, in 1801 and supports both ceremonial and security missions in DC.
Visit multiple Marine Corps Base Quantico sites, including the Marine Corps University, a group of accredited, higher-education schools. Also, interact with uniformed Marines at the Officer Candidate School parade ground and browse the Library of the Marine Corps.
Finally, stop at the historical National Museum of the Marine Corps, one of Virginia’s most popular tourist attractions. And enjoy lunch at the exclusive Clubs at Quantico and Crossroads Events Center.

Very thorough tour of everything Marine in the DC area! We were picked up promptly at our hotel and received an arranged guided tour at The Marine Corps barracks in DC. On to the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA with lunch included at Tun's Tavern located at the museum. A tour of the town of Quantico and marine related facilities, schooling and housing. Our tour guide Tom was very knowledgeable and made our personal tour very comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour. Semper Fi!
