A big adventure! Best for folks who are not afraid of water, and moderate fitness level. I would not recommend for children who are not thrill seekers. The safety team was extremely thorough and professional - our wellbeing was the clear priority. Big rapids!

A thrilling on the edge experience that we will cherish for a long time. Did this one with my wife and two teen daughters. Our first time at river rafting and boy did we have fear and fun in our faces all at once. We loved it! Philani and his team at Shockwave make it a safe enjoyable family experience that became the highlight of our holiday. The entire activity becomes an adventure from the hike down to the Batoka gorge, riding the rapids on edge and to hiking back up to an awesome lunch in the natural beauty of the bush. A big tick off our bucket list. The action pics package is a must.

Awesome trip the river is so much fun for kids and adults and feels safe yet scary in parts (in a good way).
The hike up the mountain after is no joke it’s long and strenuous and very steep, but the guides walk with you and help you as you take your time. The lunch once on top is very delicious!
