Nice city tour on the way to the ferry boat. Driver (Suki) was great. Buchardt Gardens was Heaven on Earth.
Gardens are amazing but the whole trip is very long. Start to finish it was 13.5 hours. We waited for someone who didn’t show and we missed our ferry and had our Victoria time cut short by an hour. Be prepared for lots of travel time.
It is way to long. Look for a Butchart Gardens tour only, or a Victoria only tour. We left at 7am, drove an hour to the ferry, 1.5hrs on the ferry, 50 minutes to China Town (a wasted stop - dont do this), 20 minutes to Victoria which we only had 60 minutes to eat lunch and walk around. Never really saw much. Then on to Butchart Gardens arriving at 2pm. 2 hours spent in the Gardens then on the bus at 4pm. Arriving at the ferry terminal at 4:30pm. We had a 6pm reservation for the ferry so had to wait. Arriving back at our hotel after 8pm.
The tour guide Jay was good, no complaints except for the other travelers who can't follow instructions on when to be back on the bus. This was a major inconvenience.
So many beautiful flowers! The landscape is gorgeous as you walk the trails from one beautiful spot to another. Breath taking! Would definitely recommend, and if in the area would visit agay
That was a great day, we had 2 hours in downtown Victoria and then 2 1/2 hours in the gardens. It is a long day. Pick up at 7:15 AM and I was back at my Gastown Airbnb shortly after 8 pm. The only negative was our transport. The van's AC kept going out on a very warm day. On the return trip the battery died while we were on the ferry. Fortunately the ferry personnel had a battery jumper kit. We all really enjoyed Jay as our driver and guide.
Great pace to the tour, with time to rest between walking sections. Friendly and knowledgeable guide, who made the tour informative and enjoyable. The sites were amazing and breathtaking.

The gardens are so beautiful, well worth the long trip from Deep Cove. So many stunning flowers, plants and trees to see and photograph.
The tour was wonderful sights and the tour guide / bus driver did a great job of providing relevant information. It is a really long tour starting at 7 AM and scheduled to end at 8 PM.
The bus as a disaster. The passenger door didn’t fit and would not lock down without multiple tries. The A/C was not working so it hotter in the bus than outside. The worst part was the bus got a flat tire and rather than sending a new bus to pick us up to complete the tour. The company sent a tow truck to fit the flat tire which was adding about two hours more to the trip. Rather than wait we finally took an Uber back to our hotel at a cost of $44.
I’m still recommending the tour but if you use this company hope you get a better bus.
The garden was beautiful, worth exploring we truly enjoyed that part of the tour. However, the transportation experience was horrifying, the bus didn’t have any air conditioning in the back of the bus and there were no windows to open. It was 94f/34c in the bus as we drove from the gardens to Victoria. We requested numerous times to have the air in the back increased. The air in front by driver was working, so he was fine and when we repeatedly mentioned how hot it was, he made it seem like we were just complaining. It was pure torture, like we were in a sweat box. It ruined our tour experience, we were so hot I had to create a fan to try and keep my kids cool. Once we got to Victoria we requested the driver fix the air conditioning, he mentioned when we returned to the bus fixing it wasn’t an option to fix. We asked if we could open emergency door hatch to get some air in the back. Driver wouldn’t allow it. On top of the air conditioning being broken, the bus was also smoking from burning oil smell, by the end of the tour I felt sick. It was truly a nightmare experience.
It was very good, the bus driver/ tour guide was very informative , it made the day interesting and pleasant. The gardens were so spectacular and so worth the long day. If you’re time constricted the day trip is good but a stay in Victoria would be better,allowing more time.
Amazing but long day. Butchart Garden was spectacular. In Victoria we went to our guides lunch recommendation at Red fish Blue fish. So delicious. Finished our day on the terrace at the Fairmont in Victoria sipping wine. Lovely!
Dion was very nice and knowledgeable. We had a very pleasant day and enjoyed it very much. We ate where Dion recommended in Victoria, Red and Blue Fish was pretty good.
Very easy. If you want to do these sights from Vancouver this is the only way to do it.
If you get lucky enough to have Mark for your driver, you hit the jackpot.
The driver/guide did not have a working headset. Small mishaps happen, and Lynn handled it gracefully. However I feel the company should have had a spare ready/available.
Sofie was such a wonderful guide. We were her third group to guide and she did a wonderful job. It was easy to meet up and the whole experience was great.
