Beautiful Ubud

Abdi picked my friend and I up at 8.00 am this morning & we travelled to Tegalalong to see the Rice Terraces. He was so good taking us to 2 different places so my friend who is 89 was able to walk around on flat ground helping her when needed, so I was able to see more of everything. From there we went to Pura Tirta Empul Temple, which was magnificent. He once again he helped my friend up & down all the stairs & over uneven surfaces. He took so many beautiful photos that we will treasure. We then went to Omma for lunch, where Jill was able to use the lift, have a delicious lunch and see the Tegenungan Falls.There was no rushing us. We asked him to take us to Junglegold Chocolates, which was a great drive through the villages and rice fields and was out of his way. He didn’t hesitate. He was friendly, jovial and such a pleasant man. Day was so enjoyable. Thank you Abdi.

Mangkok was everything you could want in a driver and guide: knowledgeable, communicative, professional, and genuinely fun to be around. He helped us craft a day full of incredible experiences and made sure we made the most of our time. He suggested a streamlined route, managed the timing perfectly, and was always ready and waiting for us at each stop to keep the day running smoothly. Thanks to him, we not only visited amazing places but also gained a deeper, more authentic understanding of Balinese culture — something we would have missed if we had tried to drive ourselves or relied on rideshares.

Our Guide Mr. Bram is a very kind and experienced driver, he provided water and brought us to the most iconic places around Ubud. On his advice we visited also a luwak coffee farm. The rice terrace is very touristy with different types of swings and other activities. We were expecting a local rice terrace, but it actually includes a fun park. One should not expect to much time for each side, with two waterfalls, one rice terrace and the trita empul temple the day was gone. 4 stars because the rear seat belts didn’t work!

Gusti was a great guide. This tour really fit what we wanted to do, rather than a pre-described “instagram tour”. Gusti suggested an alternative temple to visit from the one we had initially picked and it turned out to be the best stop of the trip.

Very safe and pleasant driver! Our driver Gusti explained a lot about Bali and the attractions we chose to visit in and around Ubud. We loved the day with him and recommend him to anyone who is looking for a tour guide or driver!

We would have wished the driver was more of a specialty tour guide. He was a great driver and put up with long hours on the road and all the rain, and Bali is not an easy place to drive in, but he was not a knowledgeable guide. We wanted to know more about the culture and about the sites but it was not his specialty so we were disappointed. He was the least friendly person we met while in Bali so that was a bit off putting as well

L'agence a oublié de nous envoyer un guide à notre hôtel. Résultat nous avons perdu quasiment 2h de notre journée à attendre. Nous avions demandé un guide parlant français mais du coup ils en avaient plus.... Une fois sur place notre guide ne connaissait pas réellement notre programme, puisqu'il a été appelé à la dernière minute et nous a fait une journée express. Je suis passé plusieurs fois par Viator, dans des pays différents c'est bien la première fois que le service était si mauvais. Sinon les stops sont sympa à voir.

Excelente tour el que tomamos !!
