We had a wonderful experience! The Faroe Islands are so beautiful and we felt very fortunate to be able to go see more of it with a guide. We saw puffins, seals, & was lucky enough to see a couple whales! We’ll always have great memories from those 2 hours on the boat, highly recommend.
My only advice with nature tours like this is to keep in mind, nature is nature - you never know what exactly you’ll get so go out to sea with an open mind!

No experience at all. Operator didn’t show up and left 10 of us stranded with no time to book another option. We were never notified of any problems or cancellation. I know it’s not on Viator this dude flaked on us but it is on them to refund us in full.

Wonderful experience- we got to see all kinds of seabirds including of course puffins plus several seals. Felt very safe along the way too.

We love,loved this tour. Rigid hull cabin boat with a strong engine. Protective suits for water spray and wind. Expert Faroese captain. Our captain went out of his way to show us everything : tons of puffins and birds, caves, etc. I think seeing the Faroe islands from a boat will amaze you.

We had amazing weather and saw lots of puffins as well as many other varieties of seabirds. We were also fortunate enough to enter one of the sea caves (would not have been possible if not for the calm seas), and we got to experience breathtaking views of the entire coastline of Nólsoy.

Highly recommend! Flosi provided flotation suits that kept us warm while we got to experience the coastline of Nolsoy and the huge number of puffins, terns, gulls, and more nesting and flying to and from the cliffs. Coming to the Faroes it felt important to spend some time on the water.

Such a fun trip, The operator and owner of boat was an amazing captain and photographer as well as jovial and informative . We all all felt safe, comfortable and welcome both on boat and the island tour. Highly recommended.

We did not go into this tour. Our guide cancel this tour. It was our last day at the Faroe Islands. We could not re-schedule for another day.

As we informed you by email, on that day, our captain faced an imminent medical emergency in the morning, which made it impossible for us to continue with the planned tours that day. Please know that your experience was an exception, and we tried our best to inform you as soon as possible.
We attempted to reach you by calling your mobile number, but unfortunately, there was no reception. We also tried to contact you through your hotel, but they were unable to recognize the name under which the booking was made.
I want to assure you that we will provide you with a full refund for the cancelled tour. Your satisfaction is important to us, even if you did not get the tour with us.

If you go to the Faroe Islands to see puffins, this is an excellent tour for you. The captain was very informative, friendly and engaging. The boat was fairly small, so it provided a very intimate experience to get to know the captain, learn about the Islands, and see parts of the island of Nólsoy that might be in accessible by larger boats.
Additionally, the captain provided a full safety briefing prior to departure, and we were provided arctic flotation suits that gave me peace of mind. The suits themselves kept us very warm, when on the open deck, taking pictures of the puffins, the sheep, and other bird life that was all around the island.
Towards the end of the tour, we stopped at the fishing village on Nólsoy to have a walk, see the housing, a very cool landmark which memorialized a sailor who rowed a boat from The Faroe Islands to Denmark in 41 days. It was amazing to see the actual boat he used to make this amazing journey. We also walked to a high point on the island to see the east side of the island, which on this particular day, experienced rougher sea conditions than the ease side we sailed, so I was pleased that we sailed the west side of the island.
Alden Hall, I would say it was a great multi hour tour, we learned a lot and got to see many, many, puffins. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone!

Despite telling us that he had just had a previous identical trip and the sea was to rough to circumnavigate Nolsoy, the captain proceeded to do just that with us. We asked him to turn back but he said it was too dangerous and we would have no choice other than to complete the circumnavigation of the island despite rough seas, high swells and a strong East wind, forcing him to sail farther out to sea on the east side of the island to avoid foundering. It was a harrowing 90 minutes of being seasick, which lasted for hours. When we asked for a partial refund the next day, the captain lied and said we had represented ourselves as experienced sailors (we are not!). It was his poor judgement about conditions with which he was already familiar that put our lives in danger and he refused to take responsibility, only confirming how irresponsible and dangerous this tour - and this person - really is.

Regarding the decision to continue the tour despite the rough seas, our captain informed us that you and your wife mentioned having sailed in many countries before. Based on this information, the captain judged that proceeding with the circumnavigation would be feasible. However, we apologize if this decision did not align with your expectations and the whether it was too rough for your taste. If you read our reviews, you can see that we have a captain that only has our guest's best interests at heart and tries to fulfil all of our guest's wishes.
We understand that you experienced severe seasickness during the tour. Our captain considered your well-being and determined that it might be more comfortable for you to complete the tour rather than risk further discomfort by turning back. We want to clarify that our captain is highly experienced and knowledgeable, and they always prioritize safety above all else. The decision to proceed with the trip was made based on their expertise and assessment of the prevailing conditions. We apologize if this decision caused any discomfort or inconvenience to you.
To address your concerns, we refunded 50% of the tour cost as a gesture of goodwill. We apologize that this was not good enough for you; you wanted 90% of the tour refunded, and that is not something we were willing to do.
