The tour really was amazing. It was my 3rd trip to see Meteora. This tour included a guide that went into the monasteries with us. Some other tour companies don’t do this. Our guide, Eleni, provided a great narrative of the history of the monasteries.
My only complain is that the bus driver, Dimitri, was not interested in managing the temperature on the bus… it was so cold…everyone was freezing. I had to ask several times and he just turned on the heat to the point that hot air blowing on us.

You get to see a number of monasteries in a gorgeous setting. Expect a very touristic place (that is, crowded). Two monasteries are visited, followed by a lunch at a Greek place.
The tour guide was good with a lot of knowledge, speaking 4 languages. You should have at least some interest in history and Greek Orthodox churches, some other participants were clearly on the wrong tour.
The ride out there is a bit of a drag, 3 h one way plus pit stop. The restaurant was the low point. If you get to go to the same place, a town square, a key insight is that the outdoor setting is shared between two restaurants, a larger better one and a smaller family-style one. You want to be served by the larger, better restaurant (which the tour guide did not explain to us, but she sat inside the nicer restaurant).
All in all a very nice and scenic memory, the drag is the drive out there, being on the coach for some 7 h in total.

Regarding the length of the journey, we completely understand your point. The drive to Meteora is indeed long — roughly 3 hours each way — but unfortunately, that's the reality of reaching such a remote and extraordinary site. We do our best to break up the journey with a comfortable stop along the way, and we use luxury, air-conditioned coaches with Wi-Fi to make the ride as smooth as possible.
As for the lunch stop, we appreciate your comments. The location is selected for its convenience and its ability to handle group reservations efficiently. The two restaurants that share the outdoor seating can cause some confusion, but we’ll absolutely take your feedback into account and ensure our guides are clearer going forward about which section guests will be served in. It’s important to us that everyone feels well-informed and taken care of throughout the day.

This was a very long day, but we welcomed having someone else do the driving. It slowed things down for us. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We saw two monasteries and we were able to stop and take pictures at a couple of magnificent viewpoints. The bus was comfortably air conditioned and we took several breaks during the trip so people could go to the bathroom. The two things we did not appreciate were what seemed to be a forced stop at a shop to purchase art and the other was the overpriced mediocre lunch restaurant. We’ve been travelling all over Greece for most of the last month and this was the most expensive food we have purchased. We were not given any other options.

Very nice excursion. Yes, you spend a lot of time on the road. But Meteora is not that close to Thessaloniki. The trip was nicely organized. Our guide Julia was very knowledgeable and was sharing a looooot of information about Thessaloniki, Meteora and towns and formations we had on our way to Meteora. At the monasteries our guide was Niki. There was nothing she didn't know about monasteries.
Highly recommend this excursion provider!

Great experience with great views during the bus ride. Great views from the monestaries in Meteora. Most importantly our guide was very informative and very caring about the participants. Dimitra made this day trip very interesting and absorbing for all of us.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, Demetria was full of information throughout the drive aswell as in the monasteries we visited. We had time for a coffee half way through the drive and also a lunch break in Kalambaka. Would highly recommend any tours by this company.

Was a great trip, an excellent thing to do in Greece. The day started trying to find which bus was ours (wasn't well marked nor were we told what to look for), but once on the road, things ran smoothly. Our guide talked nonstop for the entire 2+ hour ride which is great if you want to learn about Greece. The monasteries were spectacular. The guide again was a little pushy about wanting us to pay attention to everything she had to say but did have some fascinating facts. Walks were not strenuous. The bus was comfortable. The one disappointment to me was the restaurant. I much prefer to be given some time in a small town to explore cafes and choose where to eat, but we were dropped off at a huge restaurant with no other options and it was hot with flies everywhere. They had a decent selection buffet style and I think this is how tours get kickbacks, but I'm in Greece. I want to explore the small villages in a part of the country I likely will never see again, and not be herded in with the rest of the tour groups. But that's my preference. I would say overall this is a GREAT deal and an awesome experience and highly recommend this to anybody.

La excursión fue muy bonita con un paisaje, Meteora, asombroso que merece la pena hacer. La Guía, Dimitra, muy buena, dando explicaciones interesantes en todo momento. Hay un pero: La excursión que elegimos incluía el valle del Tempi y no fuimos. La guía nos explicó que no se solía incluir como extensión por sus abundantes curvas y peligrosidad. Esta extensión deberían suprimirla en la información. Entendí que los 20 Euros añadidos a la excursión básica eran por la guía. No obstante, pensé que el viaje además de la guía incluía el valle del Tempi que ustedes anunciaban en Viator (70 Euros).

Comme convenu j'étais bien présent et même en avance (7:15 pour 7:30) au lieu de rendez-vous.
Il y avait un autre groupe pour la même excursion mais pas mon groupe.
A 7:40 je m'inquiète et j'écris un mot via l'assistance de Viator, aucune réponse. J'appelle Keytours à 7:45 ils me répondent qu'ils sont déjà partis...et que je n'étais pas à l'heure !!! Ce qui est totalement faux et même si c'était vrai, ils avaient mon mail et mon téléphone pour me demander où j'étais.
En discutant avec les autres guides, ils m'ont expliqué que Keytours était connu pour ces pratiques là...
J'ai demandé un remboursement via Viator, remboursement refusé...
Je vais donc arrêter cette application pour passer à une autre.
Pas certain que Viator laisser passer cet avis.

El tour fue excelente, los guías muy informados y extremadamente atentos. El tiempo para explorar los dos monasterios fue suficiente pars realizarlo con calma. La ciudad a la que nos llevaron fue preciosa y el restaurante que nos recomendaron estuvo muy bueno.
Mi único punto, y es completamente personal, es que me gustaría que el tour pudiera cubrir al menos un monasterio más

C’est une excursion qu’il ne faut pas rater , les paysages sont magnifiques et les visites de monastères sont passionnantes . Transfert en minibus climatisé , la route peut sembler longue mais notre super guide nous a raconté l’histoire de Thessalonique et d’autres anecdotes qui rendent le temps plus léger
Une guide spécifique pour les visites des monastères a permi de bien comprendre l’histoire et la vie des moines qui vivent à Météora
Pas de stress et beaucoup de fluidité dans les déplacements , la longue journée est passée très vite
